Plenty of options I’d say
-
We lack a bit of depth / quality. I’d always have Tommy upfront but with a partner , he seems to play best when Wells is with him . He has missed a few but importantly we’re creating chances and he’s getting on the end of them . Don’t think that he can lead the line on his own .

Started the season well . Hope he continues, a live wire , great movement

Takes an age to get off tbf . Always been the same

Vetch Field was cracker of a ground with a rather nice welcome from the locals ! 0-5 on the 20th March 1989 . Oh what a night !!! -
I like the look of this lad and I think he’s all settled in now. Only a young and still learning his craft, will learn lots from James . Hopefully will continue to improve . Good footballer

I was kinda surprised when he did it . Could they start the lap of honour at the A block of the Dolman so I can clapp em off while I wait to disembark
-
Thought he looked very tidy . Linked up very well. Reminded me of the old Blackburn player Diaz .
-
Just love the guy . Big part of our past and present .
-
Thought he was ahead of his time .
-
Not sure if you’ve been watching our football under Nige!!
-
I do remember a lad round by me who used to wear a Hull top , think he was lucky to still have his teeth !
-
Looking forward to seeing how he works and how he will improve us on the pitch . All the heavy lifting off the pitch has been done for him . Pretty sure he’ll be backed in January . Looking forward to a new chapter in our history .

Interesting point of view and not one I’d previously pondered . I shall mull this over !
-
Just goes to show how much he was in touch with us the supporters . The two videos and the Radio Brizzle interview are how out of touch the club are with the punters . I like what been posted about a return possibly in the future , I’d like that . It wasn’t always a an easy ride here for Nigel but the feeling among us for him has surprised me , genuine love and appreciation, haven’t seen too much of that in my time . Hope and know we will get behind the new guy when he arrives .

Do you think we played this style of football and our previous manager was of the modern type ? ?
-
According to the chairman
-
Agh ok . The regime had a problem with only the Gaffa then !
-
Makes sense . He was part of the problem!

Still can’t understand why he wasn’t sacked

I liked Nigel but was never a fan of the product on the pitch . What he’s done off the pitch has been nothing short of a miracle , unfortunately he talked out of turn to his bosses while on a poor run of form. His sacking wasn’t a surprise as people where talking about it @ Cardiff as it was gonna happen after the game which I thought was a load of rubbish. Apparently we’ve had the feelers out for a new manager for a bit and having been tapping up agents . The club is in a bad way and we lurch from one disaster to another . Not sure the club anticipated such a response from the its own fans over the sacking and they’ll look to get us onside sooner rather than later . Interesting posts about Tinnions role in all of this , I thought they got on him and Nige I expect the new guy to get funds in January if I could choose a new manager I’d go for Chris Wilder . Tin hat on

I like the lad and see a player with a fair bit of talent and able to do something different which makes him stand out from what we’ve already got . It is early days still and while he might not be in the plan at the moment I think our manager has shown if you train hard and show the right attitude you will get s chance . As for Tony’s boy it’s quite a story of how he’s got to where he is today , seems like he has the drive and determination which the gaffa loves . He is raw but the more he’s in and around it the more chance he’ll get a start, full of energy and endeavour

Ipswich Town home match thread

He’s no worse than the rest . His faults are no different to his teammates. His excuse he’s young and can improve .
