  1. Right, I’d argue someone with “more experience” would most likely be someone who had failed somewhere else. And if they haven’t failed elsewhere, why would they come here? I like the manning and Johnson appointments. Because it’s giving someone on the way up a chance. Much more suited to a club like ours.
  2. And what style was that? Losing? With good players!
  3. Well that’s clearly not true
  4. I don’t hate frank lampard. but as a manager. He has failed everywhere. He had a good start at Chelsea and that’s it. Theres no substance to his managerial career. A club like ours needs to avoid being starstruck and appoint a big name and nothing else. We would have been like Birmingham. We made that exact mistake with Wayne Rooney Lampard is on his way down and i don’t want to be the club to find out how low is level is
  5. Right, so who would you have wanted?
  6. I think that’s the bit they got right I want someone on the way up. Who do you want? Some proven failure, who comes here because he ain’t good enough for the prem? Who do you think we should have gone for??
  7. He wanted Frank Lampard to be manager for some strange reason Think that’s why he’s critical
  8. This season is a free hit for me. As long as we dont get embroiled into a relegation battle.
  9. I stopped listening to the hierachy, when they told us we had a top 6 squad. Chatting out their arse
  10. When you bring in a coach, with a totally different way of playing, its a reset and you have to give him time. Time to implement his ideas. It is frustrating, because we had a coach, who was a few years in and i believe, was going to take us at least near the play-offs. And he deserved the chance. So any criticism, needs to go to the fella who thinks we have a top 6 squad.
  11. I get the match day experience. Cant argue with that. Even in section 82 - i'm finding the songs and the atmosphere is getting really shit. But in terms of football, you always seem to slag it off and its never as bad as you say.
  12. Because he is a new manager - with a new style, with a group of players he didnt choose. He needs time to implement his ideas and coach that into the players, aswell as bring in his own. Thought that would have been obvious
  13. This season mid table is acceptable. next season top 10, AT LEAST and then a push for the play offs the next season. But hoping we can push next season for the play offs
  14. We got rid of Cotts at exactly the right time and we stayed up because of that. But with Pearson, i was pissed when he was sacked. So i agree with what you’re saying. We had to reset yet again. But that was down to our mate jon or the hierarchy as you call it. So i think we are on the same page But it i definitely isn’t manning’s fault that our season is fizzing out. That was predictable. I’m judging him on his performance. Not interested in JL unrealistic expectations.
  15. Nah, Manning hasnt failed. He's performed exactly how i expected him to perform He's probably failed in the eyes of Jon Lansdown - but thats because he's deluded enough to think we have a top 6 squad. I've seen signs of what a manning team will look like and we have played good football at times. The style of play that manning teams play, was always going to take time. I'll judge him next season... that said, getting involved in a relegation scrap this season wouldnt be acceptable. But i expect we'll climb up the table towards the end of the season and then next season he can be judged.
  16. Why do you support bristol city? they are going to fail 99% of the time... This is actually a good time for the club - being this high in the pyramid... Only the 70's we've been higher. At our age, i'd have thought you would have got used to the disappointment and kind of expect it. I get a season ticket, in the hope of success! Dont expect it at all. City are doing exactly what i expected this season. And we do play good football at times Really dont understand what people expect.
  17. For me he is prone to dropping the ball and he also punches it too often, when he can catch it. I'm not saying he's sh!t, by any means. But i do think he's one of the weaker players.
  18. Good shot stopper. Makes plenty of saves But the rest of his game is a bit iffy. Distribution and commanding his area. For me he's a bottom half championship keeper.
  19. Loved that era. Best time supporting city. Always believe is a bit of a joke - but at the time we had a team, who didnt know when they were beaten.
  20. I think there displays are excellent - definitely dont fault their effort at all. But songs should be loud and intimidating. NOT dreary. And singing tilburg songs that no one knows doesnt help. Getting old songs going is usually a good start. But if its new. Keep it simple, so people can join in.
  21. I'd be highly surprised, if the x factor lot by the drum, DONT have hymn sheets!
  22. I want the city crowd to be loud. And intimidating for teams to come too. That dreary song ain’t never going to be loud and intimidating. And most people don’t like it. We’re not the only ones singing over it.
  23. Football songs should be simple and loud. Some of the songs they come up with are dreary. And they kill the atmosphere. At one point they were purposely signing another (crap) song, quietly.. they are like a little choir
  24. Me and my mates start songs when the group (s82) with the drum, starts sings that shit “Bristol City oley” song or other shit songs. We aren’t teenagers.
