  1. Result predictable. Post match Bollocks predictable. Same old same old. I'd ask Horace but he's hibernating. Sensible hog, says I.
  2. GRRRR!!! <°₩₩. Better watch your ankles, mate. Horace is fierce when he's roused...
  3. https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/drinks-by-the-dram/whisky-advent-calendar/
  4. I had a rather nice "Lost distilleries" malt whisky, myself...
  5. I find it bizarre that football kits can't advertise booze, the sale of which is pretty well controlled, but can advertise gambling, which is rife among kids.
  6. I'm genuinely surprised! No, I'm not - usual LJ bullshit...
  7. I've a horrible feeling that you're right. Fortunately Horace has gone into hibernation. Just 5 points clear...
  8. No, trickle down does work! The rich get the champagne and the poor get pissed on.
  9. I used to say I wouldn't cross the road to see Reading play. I never did, although I must have visited Elm Park a couple of dozen times. I lived just round the corner, and literally didn't have to cross the road. The Madjeski is the face of modern football and I HATE it. I would quite honestly rather go to the County Ground or the Memorial Swamp. We can only be grateful that we didn't build a new stadium five miles down the A38.
  10. I can see this ending up as exhibition games like the Harlem Globetrotters.

He'll give it a try, but high crosses are a bit beyond him He's even shorter than LJ... He sees himself as more of a leg-biting midfielder in the Norman Hunter mould.
  12. I hope you guys realise you've spoilt Horace's birthday. <°₩₩. Still, he reckons that, with a bit of luck, we'll avoid relegation.
  13. I hope you guys realise you've spoilt Horace's birthday. <°₩₩. He's still confident that we'll avoid relegation, though.

The Radio Drivel commentator today apparently called it shocking...

Advanced technology there! Did you get the referenve to my workmate who dealt with a computer in 1944? There was only one on the world then. She worked at Bletchley Park on Colossus, decoding Enigma intercepts. About as secret as it gets
  16. The great thing about LJ and our PA system is that he can keep trotting out the same excuses because no bugger can hear them

Sorry I was a bit snappy. I lost my sense of humour today as well as most of my will to live.

I've been working with computers since 1967 and I worked with a woman who used one in 1944-5. You millenials didn't invent them, dees know... And I know the difference between NO & KNOW.
