  1. Do you know I have had that song going around in my head since Leeds were singing it last weekend! It does fit to that tune but didn’t know what else it could go with. One of the lads I go with said that Afobe could fit and started singing: Benik Afobe, Benik Afobe, Benik Afobe Han-Noah Massengo, Han-Noah Massengo, Han Noah Massengo, Han Noah Massengo Benik Afobe, Benik Afobe, Benik Afobe And repeat. Obviously you have to have the La Bamba tune in your head. I don’t think it will catch on but just thought I would share.
  2. I personally don’t think Webster will leave for Villa, he might want a more established Premier League club. Or might just think I will give it another season here, as he can see what is going on behind the scenes!! i think that Webster was fantastic last year, but could also a reason of how good he looked was the great partner he had alongside him? I mean Kalas was fantastic and it was quite rare he let many things past him! I am not saying it was all Kalas but I am sure he helped vastly Webster play as he did! I hope we dont sell Webster, but if we do it will be for the right reason, and I trust Johnson to bring in an adequate replacement.
  3. Thank you for that Julie, I could see the officers were giving him something, but all he was doing was filming them. Didnt know he got arrested, saw him go off on his bike and thought that was the end of it, didn’t see him down at the ground.
  4. This guy was outside the Robins around 12:30 ish before the game. He had a Middlesbrough shirt on, City tracksuit bottoms and City scarfs ties to his bike! There was riot van and Police gave him a written warning. Steve one of the doormen tried to move him on and he was filming him on his phone and everyone outside the Robins. The police tried to moving him on without any fuss, but he the. Started filming them as they spoke to him, and then started singing at us sat in the Robins! All a bit bizarre, only think the written warning was for the drinking in the street as he took his own beer. Finally got moved on to cheers from us sat outside, but all very odd!!
  5. Sorry Bob, that’s not what I meant. I meant that the two players were also part of the team that had the horrendous run in the second half of the season, as much as they were at the beginning of the season ( except for Flint for the 1st month of the season) Obviously it doesn’t look good on the outside when in the space of 2 days two high profile players leave, but we don’t know what has gone on behind the scenes! I am just trying to look at it from a positive side, let’s see what the rest of the window brings us. We as fans all want the same things in the end, but we all look at it a different way!! But as we all know it wouldn’t be City without a rollercoaster ride!
  6. Reid and Flint might have been fans favourites, but they also contributed to our poor form towards the end of the season as well, they were not blameless in that run. Players come, players go, we are not in the position to be able to turn down these sums of money we received. Lets not write off the new signing just yet eh, lets just remember that Flint wasn’t the player he is now when he walked through the door, so maybe just maybe the club is doing something right!!!
  7. Yes I do have faith in them in the transfer market, and quite excited at some of the prospects we have been linked with! Let’s face it we all knew Flint was going, and the only surprise is that it has taken this long for him to leave. If the reported £10 million fee for Reid is true well, seeing as though he has refused to sign a new contract is a great bit of business. Let’s remember that Johnson stuck his neck out converting him to the striker role last year, when most people on here would have happily let him go, and who is to say he will have another season like the last! Lets all just see what happens in the coming weeks, players come and go, and will continue to do so, so let’s do all that we can and trust the powers that be to move the club forwards! Just continue to enjoy the ride that following the City gives us week in week out!!
  8. Are we still able to claim the season ticket discount from last year at all, or has this now expired? Just wondering if we could claim it on the training wear at all?
  9. You are right it is ridiculous, people are being told to avoid travelling unless it is absolutely necessary, but don’t worry the pitch is clear the game is on! Doesn’t matter that the club will not be able to supply enough food or drink to fans that do make it due limited supplies! Also can the club be sure that all of the staff that are needed for safety reasons are able to make it to the ground?? One positive though is that you might not have to show your ticket 16 times to get to your seat as there will not be enough stewards to carry it out!! I remember the Boxing Day clash against Watford a few years ago, sitting in the pub lashing it down, games called off left right and centre!!! Noise from the club “games on games on” get into the ground, so see two guys squeeging one corner of the pitch, 15 mins later game is off, but don’t worry about all the people that have gone out to ventured out, it’s only Boxing Day!! I really hate being negative about the club, especially with all the positives that have gone on this season! The club have not really had the best of weeks on the PR front, but it really is starting to show we are now just seen as customers than supporters!!
