  1. Hello all, I'm conducting Phase 3 of Bristol City's research for the upcoming Football Manager 2020 game. As part of this, I'm looking to find the number of season tickets sold by the club to accurately reflect the club's income and attendances in this year's game. Does anyone know the exact figure, or an estimate that is as close as possible? I've so far been unable to find any media that reports the total sales number. I'd ask the FLO, but we all know that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Cheers,
  2. James Taylor, plays right-back, promoted up from the U18 squad this season. Played the full 90 minutes in their opening game against Nottingham Forest U23s last Wednesday.
  3. Hi all, I'm the researcher for Bristol City for Football Manager 2020 this year. I was wondering if any of you could help with who might be our vice-captain now Marlon Pack has left? Obviously in the previous two games Wright has started and so taken the armband, but if any of you could remember a situation where both Pack and Wright were not playing and someone else took the armband that'd be greatly appreciated. Of course, Smith has been known to act as VC before also, but given he is out until January I can't see him taking that role. Cheers.
  4. From Gregor MacGregor:
  5. What I don't understand is that sources I've seen have Massengo as either a CDM or CM, not a CAM, yet I thought LJ brought him in to play in a similar role to Palmer/Szmodics? Unless he sees him as a more attacking-minded central midfielder, to play alongside Nagy in a midfield two, behind a three-man attacking midfield. That would make more sense.
  6. The worst part is the error is repeated at the end too. Who writes this shit?
  7. If we end up signing Kalas as well I might not be able to control myself...
  8. What worries me is that he'll like the idea of playing Premier League football, and so become unhappy and not want to be here anymore, and/or demand we accept a sum lower than £30m. Maybe I've been playing too much Football Manager though
  9. Perfect, I'd been looking for an article from last year myself but couldn't find one, cheers!!
  10. I didn't renew my season ticket at the end of last season because I wasn't sure as to whether I'd still be living in the area come August, however I now know that that will be the case. Does anyone know if season tickets come on sale again before the start of the season at all? Or will I need to invest in a membership? Cheers.
  11. Really interesting to look at, cheers! So am I right in thinking that it benefits us FFP wise that the Bears play at Ashton Gate, because they "pay" a rental charge to the stadium company (even though it's still owned by Lansdown), thereby increasing the revenue of Ashton Gate Stadium Ltd and thus that of Bristol City Holdings Ltd?
  12. GMcG reporting that Lansdown said the Kodjia deal was £15m, hence this must be upwards of that amount to be a club record fee.
  13. I reckon if Derby go up, Marriott could quite easily be sold to a top Championship team as Derby try and bring in a more established striker to help keep them up, since Marriott fell out of favour earlier on in the season. Would easily be worth splashing the cash imo.

In fairness, both sides of the argument here are somewhat correct - yes, Fammy can be a donkey, but yes, he does also score the majority of our goals. Hence we need to keep him and buy someone quality to complement him. Ying and yang and all that. Play it right, and we'll have the most formidable strike partnership in the league next season. You heard it here first. Big up the Senegalese Emile Heskey.
  15. From where I was in S82, Semenyo looked like he won the ball completely but then the two of them tangled while trying to assert their bodies, which would make it a foul against Semenyo at most, but in my opinion, not even a foul at all. I feel the issue was the referee seemed to be standing almost directly behind AS and the Derby player, and perhaps from that angle him putting his foot in and going down looked a lot more dangerous. Nonetheless, he won the ball, hence myself and others around me were in absolute disbelief at how it could be a red. Absolutely ridiculous imo, hopefully the red card will be rescinded, and the referee removed from that so-called list of "professionals" who officiate in the Championship.
  16. I understand people's frustration at those leaving in the Dolman after the second goal, but what really bugged me is the guy the row in front of me in S82 who launched into a foul tirade of expletives against them. Sure, we all think they should stay until the end, but its just downright embarassing to have one group of fans launching abuse at another. For the record, I left straight after the final whistle because I had to get to work, like I always do.
  17. Can't deny that Grealish will be very dangerous on Saturday.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if Semenyo himself spoke to LJ when the Chelsea bid came in and asked to play in the first team. LJ might've told Semenyo he didn't want to lose him and asked what he had to do to keep him here, and Semenyo could've asked to have a run in the first team to prove himself at a higher level; in which case, he knows the score, understands the pressure he'll be under, and is chomping at the bit for it. Just a theory.
  19. So our February league fixtures are... Swansea (H - currently 15th) Blackburn (A - currently 9th) QPR (H - currently 13th) Birmingham (H - currently 10th) Norwich (A - currently 2nd) A crucial set of games imo, but none of which look unwinnable in the form we're in at the moment.
  20. This would be a massive win. Four minutes City, hold on...
  21. The issue with this is going to come down to how it's enforced. Will each report be responded to by a steward who will immediately assume the accused is guilty and so should be ejected without question? Or will there be a period of observation and an assurance that people will be - at least in some of the more borderline cases - innocent until proven guilty? Otherwise, as others have said, this could be a recipe for disaster; hoax reports, as well as widening the rift between fans, stewards, and police. @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO
