  1. Just as importantly Manning will have an entire preseason to work with the remaining players along with any new signings to work with and coach his methods - not having ‘time on the grass’ is something he’s consistently whinged about since he took over.. Come next season he’ll have no excuses.
  2. Winning five in a row won’t be enough to reach the pray-offs but it will mean that the entire club, fans included will be far more confident going into the next campaign and that’s before any summer business when we’ll see some additions to strengthen the squad.
  3. I assume that a player removing his shirt in celebration of scoring is seen as antagonistic towards opposing fans. it’s also a yellow if a player leaves the pitch and joins/dives in to the teams supporters for the same reason,
  4. Reminds me of Doncaster Rovers.
  5. The black away shirt was the smartest of all the away shirts and the last City shirt that I bought.
  6. All red with white collar. All white with black collar away. That would be trip down memory lane. I can’t remember which season it was but I seem to remember City playing in red shirt and shorts with white socks.
  7. The ACL injury Atkinson had must have been really severe which may have needed surgery - thats possibly why he’s have missed much of the season. Hopefully he’ll be fully recovered come August.
  8. Both Atkinson and Naismith? I can’t find any recent updates on the OS.
  9. Any idea how much longer Atkinson will be unavailable? Seems ages since he got injured. Manning will have a selection headache when he at Naismith are both back.
  10. Szmodics was at City under LJ but barely got a look in. Played in only three games before moving on to the Posh. I’m guessing he wasn’t the player back then that he is now.
  11. We had one but unfortunately City had to sell Semenyo and much of the revenue went towards financing the running the club. Had City been able to hang on to AS he’d have be a nightmare for Championship defenders.
  12. He wasn’t one of them CR………..
  13. Was it? Shows now much notice I take of who the opposition manager is…………
  14. Talking to a gashead this morning and he was moaning about not being able to score against Shrewsbury saying the gas hit the woodwork three times - I told him that it was poor finishing……….……
  15. They played several young and inexperienced players when they came to AG and got stuffed 4-1 iirc. Their manager admitted post match that he’d got it wrong. Its surprising that he lasted for as long as he did.
  16. Money talks Seagull - City have already spent millions of top lawyers to stall the proceedings and to search vigorously for loopholes in regulations. It wouldn’t surprise me if Man City got off with a transfer ban rather than a points deduction.

    Wells

Are you sure? It’s very similar to Wells Cathedral. I used to walk past it most summer days on my way to the bowls club which is very close to the Bishops Palace and moat.
  18. Pots - Dickie Young player - Conway Champagne moment - Mehmeti strike v Foxes.

A decent CF is apparently a priority in the summer window. its been really frustrating when City get into decent crossing positions with no ‘presence’ in the box. None of City’s current forwards are crap Tom - they’re all victims of Mannings style of play which frequently provides poor supply.
  21. They’re not meaningless wins Seagull. Two consecutive wins one against promotion candidates gives a great fillip to all concerned fans included. City will go to Sunderland next weekend buzzing and full of confidence and I’m expecting another solid performance and hopefully 3 more points.
  22. Apart from the first 20mins they were poor,Max barely had a save to make - that’s why they’re where they are and consequently have sacked their manager. The result actually flattered Argyle, City were the better side and could/should have won by more.

May have been embarrassed to sign autographs not having got on the pitch. Either that or he was too pissed off and disappointed for the same reason. Audi Alteram Partem.
  24. The sacking of Nige has been done to death and we need to let it go. That said - his dismissal did create a great deal of anger and frustration amongst the fans which, fortunately these last two wins has eased considerably.
  25. Two back to back clean sheets along with 6 points is long overdue Imo. The problem I’ve had is trying to fathom what method LM actually trying to implement and you along with Spudski and Cowshed are students of the beautiful game and none of you could fathom it either. You say that City played differently in the last two games - in what way? The only thing I noticed was how much more solid we were in both games.
