  1. Marginal gains- Interesting read

Re wind to what we were 2 years ago and I would say what a wonderful transformation our club has seen both on and off the pitch.
  2. The rising star of Lee Johnson

Don't forget to stick your pinky out when you drink earl grey
  3. The rising star of Lee Johnson

You get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.
  4. The rising star of Lee Johnson

Why shouldn't he. I'm sure he would agree. I agree he's doing a good job. I'm not disputing that.
  5. The rising star of Lee Johnson

Strange that when Macca and Holden cam along things started to improve though. See other thread. Surely he can't take all the plaudits. Unfair if so.
  6. The rising star of Lee Johnson

I agree but plaudits have to be given to all of the coaching staff. Yes he deserves credit but so do all the others.
  7. The best ever ?

Were those two at the Atyeo end on left side looking from the stand just outside the box ? One to his top left the other to his top right ? I remember back in the days of Martin Scott Darren Barnard Jim Brennan Micky Bell that left backs were easy to get and replace or so it seemed. It doesn't seem that we have had a top quality left back since then (maybe Mcallister) Joe Bryan has brought much needed quality to that position.
  8. The best ever ?

Yep his left foot was awful sometimes. Still a very good player tho.
  9. The best ever ?

Speak for yourself ? Personally I think a good side starts from defence. LJ is doing it the right way. Stop conceding goals and hopefully confidence spreads throughout the entire team. Getting Pisano back into the side is very important. I like that guy.
  10. Supporting two teams?

My Dad took me to watch rovers (not kidding) when I was 14 years old. That's why I started supporting city . Up until then I had from the age of about 8 watched and followed football via TV radio etc and decided that I would follow Spurs and would you believe Everton ?. Of course as soon as I started watching city I was hooked. John Atyeo coming to the end of his career and then getting us promoted to the old second division. Signing players like Chris Crowe, Hugh Mcilmoyle. Watching Gerry Sharpe, Gerry Gow, John Galley and Chris Garland as I was a young kid was to me amazing. But I still look out for Spurs and Everton and still have that odd affection for those two clubs. They would never replace city though and the thought of me supporting them instead of city if they came to the gate would a 100% no.
  11. Diedhiou

Hope so. Any news yet ?
  12. City vs Manchester - Dustbin Thread (merged)

well it does say starting soon
  13. Bristol City or England?

Were they ? Neither did I.
  14. How England won that game is going to go down as one of the biggest mysteries ever. When Kane scored the look on the Slovenia managers face was a classic and said it all for me. We were truly shocking.
  15. Admiration for Nathan Baker

More reliable going forward. Even gets into some good goal scoring positions. Ayling tends to drift inside from deep leaving the wing exposed. Pisano is a wily older campaigner and IMO better than Ayling.
