    “Probably not much different to now in real terms”. Good grief!

    Quite incredible that you’re still trying to defend the idea that houses aren’t much more expensive now than they used to be.

    Its already been explained to you that higher interest rates on a much lower value house are no more painful than today’s more modest rates on a much higher value house.

    Using your example, anyone buying that £50k house today will have to pay closer to £200k for it. They will also have to pay a lot more than that after interest. And salaries haven’t kept up - nowhere near.

    The cost of housing today is a million miles away from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

    The more you think about the SS not selling any more season tickets the more nuts it seems. You could have a group of mates all with STs and then another couple of their friends decide they like the atmosphere in there so want to come along - and we’re putting a stop to that? I get an overall cap on STs, I get (although may not agree) with the kids price increase but actively reducing the number of season tickets in the SS seems counter productive on so many levels.

    Like I said earlier in the thread apart from 5/6 games a season the South stand will be hilariously empty

We recognise that prices are going up to reflect some of our increased costs, and we really value the financial commitment from our supporters

    Highest for over 40 years. So we will hit you in the pocket. Cheers Gav

    We've almost supported them too well

    To be fair, kids can still get a season ticket for 65 quid, with a free shirt, in a different part of the ground. I would imagine there will be a very small negative affect on the number of kids getting a season ticket.

    People complain constantly about the number of empty seats in the south stand, this is one way to address that

    Only if you **** off to the upper lansdown

    I don't know? All I do know is that whenever I look at the South Stand all I see is loads of empty seats and people advised there are no tickets for sale in that area. I'm sure there's a solution in there somewhere.

    You dont price them out of going. Youll now have a few 100/1000s of kids who wont be wearing the kit and wont be going to games so they can sell a couple more tickets on 5/6 games a season.

    There will be loads of parents who would think **** it for 50 quid ill get a top and 10 games a season for the little one. They wont for £100plus

    Unfortunately it's probably because of selfish gits who buy a kids season ticket so they don't have to sit next to anyone bar the two or three games the kid turns up.

    So youll get a load of kids who wont go to games now instead of 5/6/10 times a season. Genius

    I agree. People on here having a pop, but they're more than welcome to join the podcast as @headhunter has already said he would welcome it, but, nope, its easier to just mock him on here behind a username. @W-S-M Seagull knows he can go on, instead he would prefer to listen to the pod twice and take notes rather than DM @headhunter.

    Cowards.

    I don't agree to everything he says, but its his opinion. Is he rude, yeah, but no different to everyone talks to each other on here. At least he doesn't hide and has the bottle to actually say it.  Do a agree with him, no, but do I respect that has at least go the balls to face up. Yes.

    I just don't get why people care about an optional podcast they don't have to listen to that the guys do for free. Just stop listening

    I think you’re right he definitely adds something to the podcast and many have said that they’ve often agreed with him about certain things.
     It’s not his opinions per se. I think people accept that everyone has their own ideas, what people have a problem with is hearing him suddenly making allowances for LM that he would never allow for NP, despite the fact they share some similar problems injuries etc. it’s not about being “offended” it’s the hypocrisy.

    Without going back all the way was he immediately against Pearson ?

    With the complete and utter nonsense he continually delivers , no great surprise that you don’t get it , like looking in the mirror eh

    I never said I agreed with him.

    I dont agree with anything he says but really enjoy listening to him on the podcast. At the end of the day we are all passionate about the same club and we all suffer when we are playing badly - which has been most of the time in my 40 years of being a fan.

    Its like chatting to my dad after the game, most of it is bollocks, I know it will be bollocks, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

    I know this is the least of our problems right now, but what is going on with our goal kicks?

    Twice yesterday Max passed it along the six yard line (I think) to Dickie who simply side footed it back to Max!

    No other players were making runs. Is this to fulfil the playing it out from the back target (before Max plays it out of the pitch)?

    Is there a tactical reason?

    Is it the same as our midfield receiving the ball and then playing it straight back to the original passer? I think King did this a few times ?

    I get you might want to do this when winning but this was when we needed a goal!

    It's text book 2024 football.

    You're more likely to score/control the game if you have the ball. If you hoof the ball up to nakhi the chance of keeping possession and scoring drops massively

    Not all though, the mental gymnastics to seek to justify the current state of play ate quite interesting with some..

    He's not defending manning is he?

    Pearson was not a good manager and should have been let go at the end of the season not when he was.

    Hi

    Am I correct in my sums ? League only

    Played = 19

    Won = 6

    Drew = 5

    Lost = 8

    Points per game = 1.21

    Over a 46 game seasons that’s 55 points

    Win percentage = 31.58%

    Doesn’t make particularly good reading as he’s now played most clubs at least once so it’s a good sample size.

    That's pretty much the same as Pearson without it being his team or a full season isn't it?
