  1. I'm in a very high risk group having multiple health issues including heart failure, a genetic connective tissue disorder and I'm over 60. I take 91 tablets a week just to stand still. I suspect that, a) they wouldn't bother with me overly much and b) I'm unlikely to survive it anyway. I could get morose and fearful but I prefer to drink red wine and cider, sometimes in the same pint glass, no, not really and partaayyy like it's 2029 (which I'm unlikely to see). My missus has cancer, has had her thyroid removed and suffers from multiple joint disorders. I said to her, "You know we're
  2. You have absolutely no idea if the strategy taken by our Govt. is the right one or not. Neither do I. Honesty is not a pre-requisite of ANY politician. It doesn't matter what their slavish, drooling allegiance is to any dogmatic 'political principle'. If the red ***** were in power we'd just as likely be in a bigger mess. Let's give the blue ***** the benefit of the doubt for now. Johnson and Cummings are no more dishonest than any other politicians of whatever political stripe. I'm surprised you think otherwise. Stop trying to score political points, it makes you look idiotic.
  3. Yep. My M-i-L is 90 and she was indignant that anybody would dream of curtailing her social life. After two weeks of isolation she'd be bat-shit crazy. The only thing might have got through was telling her that she could be infecting others including her children/grand children/great grand children. Whether we can actually stop her from going out is another matter. Anybody know where I can buy a taser?
  4. When he waffles on after a game (especially after a loss) it's pretty bad but when you watch and listen to the pre-game press stuff he really comes across as a decent, motivated and knowledgeable guy. I cut him a lot of slack as he's still young, still learning and wants the best for City and (obviously) himself. Pre-game I could listen to him for hours. Directly after a game... not so much.
  5. Fulham fans I think although one/both of them (?) was at Watford in some capacity possibly LJ as a young player?
  6. I used to think that Cardiff weren't that dissimilar a club to ourselves (yeah I know, Welsh, sheep-shaggers etc) but their behaviour over the tragic Sala affair is more than reprehensible, it's unforgivable. If we were in a similar situation (heaven forbid) I would expect Steve Lansdown and the club to honour the agreement and I believe they would. Hopefully that belief will never be tested. I would hope that the people of Cardiff and supporters of the club do not agree with the owner/board in this situation and would make their feelings known. I won't, however, be holding my breath
  7. If ever there was a gif that visualised the overwhelming stupidity of sag fans everywhere, this is it.

No Brownhill doesn't get off scot free, he was abysmal. There were too many things totally wrong with the game today from the set up to the instructions, to the lumping of balls to Fam to the non-movement of players, to the game plan, to... oh I give up. Maybe it was just a bad day at the office and everything will slot into place as the season progresses. We can but hope. (I hate hope though, it has the propensity to kick you in the nuts).

I know I saw it. The point is though that you can't have players in optimal positions playing at sub par. If you do you'll never get anywhere. Whilst I can accept that the teams performance can vary wildly from one game to the next under LJ doing so means you'll never have the consistency necessary to achieve what I presume is the intended goal i.e. promotion. I believe that Pack is extremely limited as a player and if LJ is pinning his hopes on him as an integral part of the team then LJ is going to be sacked sooner rather than later. As to other players having the proverbial mare t

Well maybe we need to get someone capable of your rating 7/10 then. Pack isn't the answer.

A 6/10 for Pack is just not good enough. He needs to consistently be 8 or 9/10 if we're serious about moving on. He's the captain and prime fulcrum of the midfield. We cannot afford to have a player in his position and stature only being 6/10. Not only that but he needs to be 8 or 9/10 for the vast majority of the season, something like 42 out of 46 games. Is he really capable of that? I'd say no. We desperately need an upgrade to that position and hopefully the Monaco kid is just that. Pack is a weak link and until we upgrade that position we'll always be second best. Give me Gerry
  12. Sags laughing their asses off? Because they've got a real shot of promotion this season? Or a new ground? Or a club that is geared up for Championship football? Or can spend £8 million on a defender? Or a potential £8 million on a midfielder? Or can sell £70 million worth of players over two seasons? Blimey, how will we compete with pond life? I think we should 'lose our shit early', we've had enough time to address the problems from last season but haven't done so. There's only one common denominator and it isn't the players. Leeds are not my favourites for automatic promotion
  13. Of course not. In the last twenty five years you've been mushrooms, that's not going to change. You've got to be the most gullible, idiotic fans there ever were. Not only would you be doing us a favour by going out of existence, you'd be setting an example for all other candidates of the Darwin awards. The 'other' team in Bristol... pmsl. Have a nice night. Don't let the door hit your sister's arse on the way out.
  14. Ok I'm going out on a limb here but I don't believe that LJ can not be in the playoff spots come December without losing his job. If we don't perform better than last season then I reckon SL will finally pull the trigger (I know I would). If we're upgrading the playing staff in order to mount a serious promotion challenge then I don't believe for a minute that SL will allow that to slip away due to LJ, DH and Macca. If you keep on pushing for more players as LJ is apparently doing then there has to come a reckoning. LJ is skating on thin ice. I think he'll fall in. Question
  15. According to the BBC the domino effect is the other way to what people believed. Webster to Brighton is the first link in the chain and not Maguire to Utd. Move imminent, probably gone by tomorrow at a guess. Ah well. Parting is such sweet sorrow @Kid in the Riot just about to press post when your message came up.
