My only criticism of Pickford is that he's a bit hyper in his behaviour whereas Ramsdale is calmer. The latter surely helps the defence more.

I've put a comment about this on another heading. Football needs a flat, even pitch, rugby not so much. So the obvious thing to do is play the football before the rugby. So footy Friday night and rugby Saturday or footy Saturday and rugby Sunday. How difficult is that or is there a monetary reason for it.

Can't understand why rugby is played on the pitch on a Friday evening when the oval ball doesn’t need a flat pitch but football which does need a flat pitch is played the next day. Why not switch the games?

Big fan of young Tanner. Those crunching tackles and fearless 50 50s. Sometimes have to look away when you see one coming. Perhaps Pearson tells him to be more defensive so that Pring can bomb forward. We dont know. But having a fully fit Wilson and Tanner with the idea of playing and resting them has to be good.

It was a def handball to prevent a goal. So he had to be sent off. As for Mitrovic, he should be band for months not games for that threatening behaviour.

Tanner is an excellent player. Last night he was constantly left on his own with Foden and Silva to deal with. Sykes unusually kept further up the pitch and didn’t track back to help Tanner. Equally James could have moved over to assist him. Left one on one, Tanner would have done better. I don't agree that Sykes did better in the 2nd half, he just got more support from Weiman than Sykes. But a brilliant effort all round.

Think us fans should acknowledge the fab job Nige is doing by chanting his name when he comes out just before the game starts. Show our appreciation.

Not sure I agree with that. Kalas has one of the highest leaps of most footballers. He ain't the tallest but has ability to get up higher than most opponents.

From these pics it looks like Tanner is sliding in with his right foot along and down on the pitch and getting to the ball first whereas McTwat is jumping in knees first and a good second to the ball. No foul.

Mad Cyril - Your dead right. People should buy tickets for seats they mean to sit in. To many people either don't then sit in their correct seats before the game starts or move about during the game. Then there's the confusion as to if they have the right seats, no, then have to get up and move out etc etc.. Meanwhile they are stopping other fans from seeing the game. Also some of our less intellegent fans, presumably buy on the day people, can't follow straight forward signs and end up in the wrong place. So buy your ticket and sit in the right seat people.

The big plus for me was that we were at Norwich non stop. Didn't give them much time on the ball and when they threatened our goal, our pads tackled like crazy. Don't much about Wigan but if we start fast and keep going, using fresh subs who will work their socks off, Wigan will find it an uncomfortable evening.

Can't have James and King in midfield. To slow. Has to be Williams with James.
