This is something that I think we as fans forget. It’s all well and good labelling ex players as ‘another one that got away’ but let’s be fair it’s taken him 5/6 seasons to start performing at a good level and actually we didn’t have the time to wait or games to give him to get him where is now. Similar thing with Wes Burns, we knew he was a good player but he needed a few seasons in league one where he could get 40plus games on spin to be considered a consistent decent player in this league. Even look at Kane Wilson now made over 40 appearances for Derby who are very likely to be playing us next season. For what it’s worth I think Sammie could have added some value quicker if we gave him more of a chance but we know there was too much competition for him, shame really.

I think that despite it being the close season and we don’t have much to play for as a collective, it’s good knowing we have gotten results against teas with something to play for. Blackburn, Plymouth, Leicester all have something to play for. Happy with another clean sheet too!

I wasn’t downplaying his loan experience I was pointing out in just 30mins he had the impact to assist and score. He is quite a big lad too. I do wonder whether he will be considered under LM and I was always under the impression that Tinnion tried to push for the club to give more opportunities to the academy.

Worth noting he only played 30 minutes coming off the bench.

Why are Bradford still down there ? I know they have cheap tickets etc or at least they did 10/15 years ago but still get huge crowds in that league. Surely they should be up there more? When’s the last time they were in league one 5 season ago?

Geeze miserable git. All types of football get played in championship why should u18s be any different. Every club will have a few matches where they have to alternate playing styles to either gain an advantage or get pushed into playing that way by an opposition.
