  1. Savino

    QPR No.20

Thought he was a class player though, just a bit immature
  2. Footie web site ?? Doesn’t look much like it, what am I missing?
  3. So what about Wonga for example, or any of the other payday loan scumbags? Similar target sectors of the population to gambling firms in terms of majority of their revenues I would have thought?
  4. I think the reality is the opposite - the only fakes in this story are Bristol Sport and some of our players
  5. I'm not one of LJ's biggest fans, but I can't help feeling a bit sorry for him - I think he's stuck between a rock and a hard place. From the moment the owners failed to back him in the January transfer window (too early for the Prem), the ambitions of some of our best players were trashed, and our fabulously performing team were destined to another season in the Championship. Not great for your motivation! LJ has had to manage this, albeit not very well, and today's statement is all about moving on players who, basically, stopped turning up - and the party line is that it's for the benefit of the long term "sustainable" club future. So unfortunately it starts from the very top.
  6. Haha, need a bit of light relief this weekend - as the guy just said on tv "not going to be Rory's year this year - so much promise", sound familiar?
  7. Watching Rory feels like watching City at the moment
  8. You're right that questions have to be asked, and you might start by seriously considering the notion that the owners decided that the team were over-achieving in the first half of the season - and how to rein things in a bit. Since the Wolves game, everything that could have gone wrong has gone wrong - from a weak transfer window to crucial red cards and extended returns of key injured players, from the team having the most shots on goal up to Christmas to the many games with zero or few shots on goal.. And whilst the clubs around us somehow failed to take advantage, we have witnessed the most bizarre team selections, tactics and substitutions ... call me a conspiracy theorist, but these things can happen when billionaires are involved (recent election rigging scandals). If your original plan was for a sustainable ascent to the PL, and it clearly wasn't going to plan and you couldn't afford it, then change it back to the plan.
  9. What can we expect from our team at Millwall tomorrow? Are the guys up for a fight for the last play-off spot, or are they looking forward to the holidays and a guaranteed first team place for next season in the championship? Like many others I was totally devastated by our performance against Brentford, and also in general since January. I honestly can't help but feel that there is an under-current of self-preservation about our team - something I've felt many times at this stage of the season in the 50+ years that I've lived and breathed this team. Just watching Cardiff v Wolves on tv, whatever you think about the merits of the scum and the cheats, they're all so up for it. At the end of the day the management of those teams are totally fired up for the Premiership, and they're making sure there's no passengers. Perhaps it comes down to the drive, experience and arrogance of the managers, maybe we're missing something there. There's only so much self-congratulatory twitter feed on season ticket sales, BCFC in the community, and so on I can take when the team ain't performing.
  10. Wow. Sky studio chat all about City, mainly Bobby Reid, nothing at all about Derby- McLaren "only team trying to play football for 90ins, taking the game to Derby, brave substitutions"
