  1. Un-natural is the ball striking your hand (see photos above in this stream) when your whole body is travelling the other direction making your body un-nautrally bigger.

Let's agree to disagree. I respect your viewpoint - I just don't see it the same way - the joy of opinions I guess 😇

    Have a pleasant weekend!

  2. This decision has genuinely created some good stuff on the forum. For me it has demonstrated that we all are passionate about the game, we care deeply for the rules (unlike our opposition who sought to bend them with time wasting etc) and we care about the right thing being done.

Who is to say that the cross (had it not have hit the defender) wouldn't have been converted and we drew 1-1 anyway?

You make it sound like refs do not make mistakes

Oh no....they definitely do.......but do we seriously think the EFL will  go ",oh, City Fans don't think they were deserving of a pen....let's retract and give Huddersfield the points".....

My point is...its been and gone....can't be changed. The person who was paid to make the call (rightly or wrongly) opted to give it...the rest is history.

Sn12 may breed them differently but when you run or jump or do all sorts of things arms bend at the elbows. The players arms were in a position justifiable by his body movement (its in the laws).

All irrelevant- the ref (who must know the laws) gave it - end of. 😉

i am reffing this afternoon and wont be using that law because its not one. Its a forum. debate? The law contains natural position. So was the players arms in a  justifiable position for the movements hes making? Yes all day long. No

A bent / raised elbow is not a natural position, Pen

  6. Why are people so intent on disproving the penalty?

It's almost like we can't bear to get something out of a game if it could be construed as positive.

I'll take the point thanks. The defenders left arm was raised...not the arm he was landing on either....professional footballers keep their arms pinned in whilst in the box ..he didn't.....penalty. 1-1 game over.

At the end of the day only one person's opinion matters.....and she said Pen.

Onwards and upwards to Rotherham who are likely to win in the 101st minute with a pen against us. Swings and roundabouts I'm afraid.

apart from the referee giving us a very questionable penalty.

Not questionable. Just seen the highlights. He raises his left arm to block the ball. Current rules (anybpart of the arm) is a pen all day long.

Professional defender should have arms pinned in....left arm not out for support to land....it the upper arm.

    Ref got it right

So….why the MASS exodus of fans (a) when Huddersfield scored (b) on 85 mins?? I hate it when fans leave early at the best of times but that was embarrassing today. We have been on a good run of late and I know things are petering out to another season of mid-tableness but hey…fair enough if we’re losing 3-0 or similar! I’d like to know how many City fans saw Nahki’s penalty scored as we fought regardless of performance to get on level terms.

    Interesting post.

I've scanned the T&Cs for my season ticket and there is no "you shall stay until the very bitterest of ends...ie...until the ref bloweth their whistle".

People have a free choice to come and go as they please. It's called free will.

Other people have a differing worldview...c'est la vie!

For the record I always stay until the end...

Outstanding performance but a schoolboy error at the end there, giving a penalty to the midtable side with nothing at stake and going nowhere but the beach, at the expense of the team hovering around the bottom three or four, with rather a lot to lose. In April. Tut, tut.

Whereas Lee Mason, in the (46th) game v Birmingham City in 2017, chose not to award us, the home side, a (pretty clear) penalty, us being on the beach with nothing at stake and Birmingham almost certain to go down and never to forgive or forget should he penalise them. And probably be hanging around in the car park afterwards.

So you are saying that refs should make decisions on what's at stake?..... surely it should be what is seen on the pitch....

  10. Well, my blood pressure has finally hit normal.

Very frustrating non-performance from us. Allowed Huddersfield to dictate play for the majority of the game. Failed to generate any real opportunities in the first half....woke up second....few good spells. Seemingly teams are now playing scrappy games knowing that it prevents us playing a flowing gane (when we can acutally organise ourselves). Little toe pokes to take away possession when playing for second balls....immensely frustrating.

Clearly we are only playing the team in front of us...we now need to dictate our play rather than consistently being dictated to and trying to forge out an opportunity (which more often than not fails).

Like to see us play well against Rotherham when at AG on 27th....then send stoke down away on the final day.

Ref today was very consistent- a couple of mind boggles....but very good in the main. Consistently booking cynical fouls etc.

Smash and grab a point at the death.

     - not ideal, not pleasant but left me smiling nonetheless.

They've been on the fiddle, so Liecester is probably apt to be fair.

They have collapsed in recent weeks, great to see

What a time to hit patchy form. Highlights how the Championship is such a close league....anyone able to beat anyone.  For me, better than the Prem....(still want to be at the party obvs). 😇
