  1. Irrespective of where I am in the LJ debate. You seem to have crossed wires as I didn't create this thread to advocate NW.
  2. Surely this is a ''I'm available'' to Steve L https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51100089
  3. I'm disappointed I suppose! WTF does that mean?
  4. Steve's face in the last 5mins screamed anything other than Keeping the Faith
  5. Wow went to School with Anna and Marcus, Brother played with Tres at Keynsham. Lovely Girl, lovely Family. Unknown to me we were in the same place a little while back and she made a point of coming and asking if myself and my Brother/Family were well. Say's it all really. Sincere condolences, thoughts to all the Family it's tragic news. RIP

  7. I couldn't agree more. I have had a lump on us to finish in the top 10 and also top 6 although one never counts the chickens this is a massive blow for us. After the start we have made I was absolutely convinced he was the 20+ goal per year Striker we have been yearning to add to our current crop. People are saying that we didn't have him last year so why would we miss him but you have to take into account injuries and form of our current strikers and it could make a massive difference to our prospects this season. I have also heard some random stories/rumours regarding this injury news swinging wildly from he has done his ACL to the fact it is also a ruse to disrupt Swansea's preparations! Go figure
  8. WOW Looks like they're gone this time! Wednesday is D Day https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49470865
  9. Really hoping for another solid performance from Taylor Moore who has firmly grasped his opportunity of first-team football this season. I think he is an absolute credit the way he has conducted himself as I'm sure he didn't arrive dreaming of the prospect of loans to Cheltenham, Southend and Bury yet he has got his head down and honed his craft. Playing alongside the likes of Kalas and Baker will only improve him even more and I really hope the lad can kick on and hopefully get a full year of championship experience under his belt. He is still only 22, and highly prized by the England setup and really could be anything in terms of potential.
  10. Yes from people that have known him since prior to him being known as a footballer. They may be biased but the picture they painted with regards to the incident you refer to is that he very much played a mediator role during those times as he always wanted the best for the club.
  11. I've had my own rant about ''the pathway'' recently but surely this is a no-brainer If he has looked after himself and still has an engine? I never watch/watched much premiership football but I knew who Ashley Williams was immediately. He was a great defender for Swansea and was always a complete rock at the back for them as well as very good Captain/Leader of a team that played great championship/premiership football for Roberto Martinez and others. His wages will probably not be astronomical in any way especially if we're getting him on a free and if anything you could look at him as an upgrade to Bailey Wright and if not then certainly somebody who could step into his place in the interim. Also you have to remember that Nathan Baker is an absolute shoo-in to have some time out for injury during the season and if not it will be a suspension as our Nathan does have plenty of previous with his love for a yellow card! I also know (from friends who are Swans fans) that he is a great talker and was always great on and off the pitch throughout his career and with his international experience to boot then his attitude and life experience would be invaluable when you look around at how many youngsters we have in the squad. An Aaron Wilbraham character so to speak, unfortunately without the 20 goals a season IMHO Should we get this over the line it would be a fantastic piece of business and also shows that we are leaving no stone unturned in terms of where we can turn for a player.
  12. Any reason for not believing it Bob? I was told from a good source that he was in the park with his kid when he got the call!
  13. I'm not uncalm it was prompted by a convo earlier with my Brother So the answer is 1 pushing for a 1st Team match day squad place. Not a shining reflection of the Clubs future starlets/Academy
  14. I thought the Most recent mantra from the chairman to the new young manager was all about "The Project'' and even more so ''The Pathway'' which promoted the opportunity for our Academy stars to see the proof of a clear pathway to the first team. Looking at today's squad and those going forward it would look like that has been clearly neglected or worse abandoned! It looks like we have decided to instead purchase said youngsters from Europe. If so what is the point of the academy system that I imagine comes at a huge cost. Where is the next Bobby, Joe or Lloyd? Don't get me wrong I would imagine those three alone have paid for a decade of financing the Academy I'm just concerned where our next home grown/nurtured talent is. I would dearly love Mark Ashton, Lee Johnson, Brian Tinnion to Outline who they think will be pushing for place in the squad this season and beyond. He's one of our own seems like it won't be sung for a while
