Shaun Taylor replied to Loderingo's topic in Football Chat
That Tescos was nearly as bad this morning as shoppers were outside at 05.40! Still no rice, pasta, frozen Fish, baked beans or porridge oats today and we tried three separate supermarks so hope you have more luck tomorrow and if its beer you're after even that had been ransacked......but there were toilet rolls? . -

Something has to change as this morning there were approximately 500 shoppers outside the Asda Walmart in Swindon at opening time and no doubts the same in every Town & City across the UK and not one was two metres apart and a teen the moment did they care as food was their priority. Carry on like this and potentially we could overtake Italy -

Let see hope so as we have no idea how the UK will cope if we see numbers dying similar to Italy's -

Almost another 800 deaths in Italy today let's hope we're not going to have the same number per 24 hours in 2/3 weeks time -
You want some ?

To be fair Exeter brought 2000 but we sold all our tickets and could have done with more!
-
Swindon had 13,100 today second biggest club in the west behind you guys!
-
I respect your knowledge but I only started going regularly aeound 76/77 onwards

I remember City casuals with golf clothes and wedge hair cuts in the Arkells stand in the early 80's
-
I never witnessed that in all the matches I saw between the two clubs only Pompey once or twice but granted you rearranged the concrete in the old shrivenham road stand and kept the local glaziers busy in the Town centre
-
As a Swindon fan I went to all the City matches at home from the late 70's onwards and they were always really lively. Also went to Elm Park and found their lot rather quiet and not really a Derby compared to you guys the Gas and Oxford

Hopefully we're be "trading places with them" come the end of the season!

I wonder if they will try and get Michael Flynn again as Newport are now in mid table and he may be seeking a new challenge

It's a great site and love the banter and we should know as we've been the brunt of it for a years but I genuinely have an affection for you lot and seen many games at the gate over the years

Swindon fan here and the reason the Gas don't have as many threads as OTIB is you're a much bigger club than them so have many more followers but when you do have the odd blip the other half don't hang around in taking the mickey so it's not all one sided and what makes this site so appealing to me and many other non City supporters is the professionalism and humour you guys provide without there being any malice

Swindon fan here nobody our end had any interest in the game last night and that included the manager hence why some youth players were included. As above comments have said the competion is a complete waste of time and games are treated as friendliest so it could never be deemed as a derby match Also saving their money for Salford tomorrow with over 1300 tickets sold and much more appealing than a meaningless game against the Gas

He doesn't look very happy! https://images.app.goo.gl/D84tiidkRjnFFEEV7

Ok it's approx 50 miles further North but even so not a great turn out considering they claim to have great away support

Swindon took 562 to Notts County which is around the same distance and they're a mid table league 2 club. Says it about the gas!
