  1. Battered and fried, I suspect - the former in footballing terms, the latter in financial......
  2. Dull if you like but if we did that a bit more often we'd be in the play offs......
  3. And 5th in Championship below West Brom, Leeds, Brentford and Charlton - bodes badly for tomorrow but feels instinctively right (and pretty reassuring happy clap clap.......)
  4. Do you really mean “precocious”, RR? I’ve heard you described as many things on here but never that!
  5. What a lot of “idiots” and “lunatics” there seem to be on this thread. There is a Buddhist saying: “It is your own anger that destroys you”...... ..... but I suppose Buddha was an idiot, too......
  6. I think you'll find that we all had a chuckle when you suggested that you might win......
  7. I guess the paymaster's got their name scrawled all over our team's shirts. That's why I'm not buying one - shame, it's a decent looking shirt this year.
  8. Typical of the man - standing modestly (just a tiny bit like Mr Bean) on the sidelines of the photo. This was the happiest footballing day of my life - till THAT goal of Korey's!
  9. Our next Frankie Fielding, by the look of it. But can he consistently kick it out of play? Hmmmmm - he'll do between the sticks.
  10. I woz there - as a retired Tractor Boy I took the opportunity of City away to say farewell to Championship football at Portman Road. It was a fine moment - but not a patch on the 89th minute winner! Two possible points of interest to City fans: 1 Leeds man of the match beyond doubt was one Mr L Ayling who played a blinder and made both their goals. I don't remember him being that good so someone must've coached him well. Might even make the grade in the Prem.....although he did help the winning goal in by confusing his keeper who then gave the ball to Quaner to pass into an open net. Chuckle..... 2 But watching Town for the first time this season did make me realise what a damned good job LJ has done with us lot. You can see why they're going down and why we are now top eight and safe. They had no edge, no imagination, no energy and though on the odd day we do play like that, alas, more often or not the City are a pleasure to watch - or close to at least - and not just when underserved victories are delivered by not one but two gifts from the Gods. Enjoy the egg on Leeds' face - and look forward to next season - COYRs........
  11. Because Walsh filled the gap and spread the ball around, most of the time, pretty accurately. He deserves his 6 rating and, judging by the thread on him, deserves a damn sight more credit than he gets given on OTIB. We're full of how well Max is growing as a player with regular game time - all I'm saying is.....give Walsh a chance, he'll do just the same.
  12. Seems to me that the other side whoever they may be seem to get quite a few against us from outside the box - nearly a beaut last week that just bounced on the line. While we on the other hand do seem to fanny around too often when there is a rare clear line of sight - and shoot when there are bodies in the way. All you Statto types out there - please tell us how many we've conceded from outside the box this season. Subjective feelings are often wrong!
