  1. Last Day for Bury According to TV a last minute buyer has come in - and has shown the appropriate funding paperwork. Steve Dale has so far NOT accepted the takeover bid. If they go under, I hope the guy has a nice holiday hidey-hole somewhere for a while. He will need it.
  2. cj First Team Posts: 660 Posting Level Next Level in 340 posts 7 hours ago Quote Post by cj on 7 hours ago If City fans are there and if he scores against us, will they celebrate? They be too scared. But if they have the balls, surely they know they will get a good hiding! Reply I'm guessing this ones about 12 yrs old. Anyone remember the last time we 'got a good hiding' off that lot? Eastville? - not in the last 20 yrs of it's existence Bath - nope. Mem - nope. Park St or Fruit Market? - Nope. City Centre/Waterside? - Nope I doubt if there will be more than 50 City in the home end anyway.* * complete crap, but no doubt be 100% true on asschat by midnight. The 60 - 70 going in with the South Midlands Hit Squad are real though. The Gas Hit Squad best be very careful* *complete crap but bound to be 100% true on asschat by 11pm. (It's actually only 40 - 50 meeting up with Oxfords lads.)* * 100% true on asschat by 10pm
  3. Seems a very strange and amateurish way of publically 'outing' any interested parties. But hey, that's what they do, eh?
  4. So I'm assuming it's only £10,000 initially then as a 'feel the water' scenario? If someone (and I assume they are expecting 'someone' specific) snaps them all up at 10p each - giving them 1.2% ownership, then they will release more? Surely the price would need to be higher per share though? £100,000 would give anyone 12% ownership (should more shares be allocated) - so less than £480,000 gives someone the magic 51% of shares? - Thereby control of the club and 1st dibs on any assets? Why would Dwayne Sports risk a hostile takeover (potentially) for less than £500,000 and lose half their equity in the Mem? I'm assuming , as I said before this is a 'come and put yer money where your mouth is' offer @10p a share for 1.2% of the club only. That the entire offer. Anymore shares would then be offered at say £12 each (for example). It's a fishing attempt basically to see if there is anyone out there - is that right Eddie? Why couldn't the Supporters Club buy them and increase their share to 9.2% - rendering the whole exercise futile and allowing Supporters Club members to pick up shares at a massive discount (£1 each initially I believe) of 90% off. @Eddie Hitler Help!
  5. It's alright lads, the Yanks are coming..... 23 May 2019 10:55:52 BRFC - Watch out for take over bid coming soon. Dwane Sports in talks with hospitality company Hyatt Hotels Corporation. The American company are about to take over a major Bristol Hotel and are keen to promote Bristol as a major world tourism destination. Exciting times. briznews The only take over will be tents being burnt, Santa being evicted and decent food being served in a new Hyatt Hotel where the Mem used to be. I honestly give Rovers 6 - 7 months to find new owners or be put into Administration. They have one player to sell who will generate some cash (JCH) and the ground. The Arabs simply don't have the money to pay the ongoing weekly bills. Once PP was turned down for the Colony - they were screwed - and as they 'only' earned £39,000,000 last year and have a bank and hotel to run out of that - they can't afford the £65,000 per week losses at BRFC. It's sell up or close Rovers for good. I'm serious - BRFC may well be gone for ever this year.
  6. holmes Fans' Favourite Posts: 1,317 Posting Level Next Level in 183 posts 4 hours ago Quote Post by holmes on 4 hours ago The credit reference agencies have picked up on the late filing. We received an alert today regarding Bristol Rovers 1883 ltd’s Credit score. It was dated the 01/04/2019 so my guess is late filing triggers an affect on the credit score. Now this IS interesting. Credit scores being dinged indicate accounts have not been submitted, and there is no timeframe to do so. I know that from an accounting pal of mine. It would suggest the BRFC accountants have been told not to file, and not respond to any Companies House requests. Shite, meet fan.
  7. Maidstone and Salford are superb - but Fylde - bloody hell, thats some achievement - puts some L1 clubs facilities to shame - Ragass Rovers should just quietly weep looking at those 3 grounds.
  8. That's a man who is going to tear Wally a new one. He will be gone by Saturday Talk about digging your own grave - fair play though, he is going to go down swinging. Staggeringly blunt interview.
  9. DC pulls no punches "I'll be in the dugout Saturday - unless someone tells me otherwise" - *looks at camera* 4 minutes of slagging off the players for being mentally soft then "no-one accuses me of being weak" DC is looking for the boot and a pay-off. I reckon he has been tapped up by another club. His demeanour throughout the interview was terrible. Suppliers not paid.No training ground. Debts now exceed value of the Mem. This really could be the last season for BRFC.

RetroGamer Reserve Team Posts: 329 Posting Level Next Level in 171 posts 11 hours ago via mobile Quote Post by RetroGamer on 11 hours ago 11 hours ago gasandelectricity said: Why take this out on the Bristol Post? If we have problem fans I want us to do something about it and get rid of them. If the clubs doing something about it, then fantastic, we should congratulate the club. If the clubs not then why not? Ultimately if we have a higher percentage of numpties then that’s very sad. There are no bans from trouble at home according to the article so Bristol Rovers aren't likely to be doing anything about it. A few people I know were banned last season and it was the club we travelled to that pushed for the bans. Their season cards still work too although other people have been using them instead. I'm sure if away fans played up at the Mem it would be our clubs duty to sort it out. So even less loyal and few, and the Gas don't cancel banned thugs season cards!! So much for ID checks on the turnstiles to weed out the convicted hoolies ?
  11. Wasn't it also free for all Members and ex-members of the Armed Forces today as well? Nice gesture from the Gas to be fair, but that's another 50 or 60 off the 'loyal blue few' (guestimate obviously). Actually - be nice if Mr Ashton would offer this for say the FA Cup 3rd round if we draw a non-glamour club? Maybe free for all Forces Veterans and serving Armed Forces and Emergency Services staff inc Firefighters,Nursing staff, Physio's etc. Good PR for the 'franchise' @Matt Parsons BCFCSLO
  12. Question for City fans in London.. Anyone know the address of Rovers super-swank office costing £250,000 per year? Wouldn't it be great if a City fan popped in with their phone and had a look around. I'm expecting one room, with Irene the secretary doing her nails. Whilst answering the phone for 86 different shell companies. I reckon footage of the office, and finding it empty would get some gasheads to literally explode. Anyone Game??

  14. Seems Stefan Payne has quickly sussed out the "loyal and few" - and doesn't like them! ??? lhawkster Newbie Posts: 1 Posting Level Next Level in 24 posts 4 hours ago via mobile Quote Post by lhawkster on 4 hours ago I seen this today totally disrespectful we were clapping the players off near the front and he was saying f off you c..ts using the w signs and I said well done Stephan like I said to all the players good game and he basically told me and my friend to f off aswell.. I have sent a email to the club as think he is professional and shouldn't speak to anyone like this.
  15. The general consensus is: Wael out. New owners are apparently a Liverpool and Isle of Man group in conjunction with a Southampton based construction Company. The Colony Site not to be built, and UWE have leased a training area alongside M32 to the Gas. Wether that means UWE is back on and Mem sold for housing, or Mem redeveloped and Colony site re-zoned (I thought that was impossible) is any old Gasheads guess. Lots of confirmation from their ITK's that this is a done deal, with the Camel Riders leaving end of this months. I have a feeling that this might not turn out as well as their fans hope - Mem sold, houses built, and no home. Oh well.
  16. Serious question! Where are those figures from? Are they some sort of D+D range or did someone make them specifically for Sagheads? Anyone got a link to their maker?

Who are you to comment on something that you have absolutely no involvement in? Scrap that, we know exactly who you are. Trap best left firmly shut, not coming on here giving out life advice with all that ITK bollo.cks. Lets not go spreading more rumours eh, for your own sake. 18. Well - this is interesting if true... Comment from a Mod (Peter Parker) on Gaschat - it would seem tipping point has been reached, with debts exceeding assets.... 8 hours ago Topper Gas said: Pretty sure they are offsetting all their expenditure against the Mem value (which before some smart arse points it out I know they own it, I know), you do have to wonder what happens once the expenditure exceeds the value. Do they carry on spending well beyond our annual income or look for an escape route? Is this season just one massive final push for promotion, a bit like Villa have just tried, or is their some sound business plan to eventually trying to break even on an annual basis, as I can't see selling a few extra pints and replica shirts is the answer. Well they have already increased the credit facility beyond any secured funds
  19. "Big queue in (and out) the shop after the game and a person who obviously had special needs was cheerfully marshalling the queue, he had already thrown me out for eating a pie as the queue moved forward over the imaginary line in to the shop. However once I had bought my ticket as I was leaving the shop there was another “man” giving the poor lad loads of abuse - Made me feel sick, that someone should pick on the vulnerable in that way. Whoever you were I hope you are proud of yourself and I hope you felt good in front of any mates you may have. I am just a bit surprised that I was the only one to speak up for the poor Marshall." Rovers fan abusing the disabled. What a surprise. I'm waiting for Henbury Gas to claim it was the ex-city fan mysteriously left toothless in an almost supernaturally unseen attack.... Racism, Sexual assault, Women druggie slapping around a little girl on the North Terrace and now a gashead abusing one of their own stewards with special needs. Family club my arse
  20. A new scandal involving Rovers has hit the net. Dopey's dog has escaped and is terrorising beachgoers at WSM...
  21. I'd like to clearly state I am not alleging anything illegal. The rumour goes that someone with very long ties to a "football" club had a role in hospitality. Full tables every week. Posters alleged (then were deleted by admin) that there was a possibility that this chaps mates may have not been paying the full price on a very regular basis for a significant number of places, and that these lower payments weren't accounted for in the books Club investigated. Gardening Leave. Second initial same as the worlds best known Nazi Mods feel free to remove if this causes problems.
  22. In genuine sincerity, it was great to see Rovers fans appreciate all you guys applauding in the 9th minute for young Bailey Cooper. Genuine respect from some Rovers fans. On days like that, I am really glad that as humans, we can forget about Blue v Red, and show compassion and respect for a young life so tragically cut short. Well done to you all. http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/11466/day-seaside
  23. We are talking about a bunch of muppets who, despite being entirely against the opinion of every other football watcher in the world think - "City were shite/lucky/tax-dodgers/snake thieves/thugs/whatever" Guess what Rovers? People remember us for being brilliant this year. PEOPLE REMEMBER YOU FOR BEING RELEGATED TO THE CONFERENCE, AT HOME, BY A TEAM WEARING YOUR OWN AWAY KIT!!
  24. I watched on BeIn sports in Australia - at one point, while you lot were singing "one team in Bristol", the commentator actually said: "That's not quite right. There are 2 teams in Bristol. For those who have never heard of them, the other lot are called Bristol Rovers. The Pirates, or the Gas. City don't like them very much" Cop That on International TV, Rag-Tag Rovers! "For those that have never heard of them........."
