  1. Either HNM's dad is a rubbish agent - or we are asking too much. I suspect it's the latter based on current financial markets. If he wants to go now - lower the price and ease his way out. No point playing hardball if he wants to go. $1,000,000 question - why does he want to go??
  2. He looks well, and very relaxed - like he can see that the deadwood has gone, and all the players are onboard. Great to see, especially Nige after his covid.
  3. In between the Bakinson expose - Rovers isn't a bad shout. Maybe he would like to see our 'hated rivals' ? do well, and knuckle down. Spudski knows people,so if he says he has been a really bad character - he probably has.
  4. Utter sociopath. His career will not end the way he thinks it will. He actual reminds me of 'Dexter'. And not in a good way.
  5. He came out for a cross - that makes him better than MOL already. He can be a bit reckless, but that can be coached. MOL to go - this lad to challenge to be #1 MOL has had his audition and been found wanting. Get a modest fee or simply let him go if a suitable deal can be found. This lad is 21 and mixed with good players at international level, seems to like to command the box, and looks for the quick distribution. Seems a no-brainer to me Thanks @Davefevs for the clip.
  6. For the sake of Bury and the other clubs who were expelled - enough. Derby have had so much leeway it's ridiculous. I couldn't care less if CK was a patsy for MA - enough. Liquidate Derby and treat them the same as they have Bury. This is a farce.
  7. IIRC Spurs got in and couldn't be shifted despite many attempts. Can't think of any others that stayed half the game. As for Leeds - they got picked off one by one going through the turnstiles when they failed to force open the metal gates. I do wonder to this day who has the coppers helmet that did the rounds of the EE for the rest of the game!
  8. I think it's essential to include 2 pics of pneumatically enhanced supermodels wearing the days team kit. Just so we know which side to watch. And one each for the ladies of course ?
  9. The million dollar question. It sure as hell won't be the old brownsite land that will be worth a fortune in new housing. Purchased for a 'new stadium'. I still don't understand why so many people cannot separate the 'sport' from the 'real estate' A loss on the sporting side will be dwarfed by profit on the housing / office side. I'm sure some people still think he's building an indoor centre for Basketball only...........
  10. Rubbish It's a vibrant University City now - loads of young 'uns have headed to the coast to study. New shopping centres, heaps of new clubs, and loads to restoration / revamping going on. I used to live in the New Forest - Bournemouth was never a dump. Vibrant and exciting City now
  11. 2 refs per game - stop the mob bullying of referees Time on / off clock, to stop the stupid rolling around timewasting crap
  12. And where are all these magical Police and dogs going to come from? UK Police are at an all time low of 207 per 100,000 - worse than Kenya! Even with the will to do it - there just are not enough Police.
  13. Eh? AFL games have been full of reports on the news of crowd violence The NRL has been rocked by recent all-ins in the crowd. Every major racing carnival has resulted in mass brawls. You mustn't get out much! Last week in QLD... https://www.sen.com.au/news/2022/05/14/watch-ugly-brawl-dampens-day-one-of-magic-round/
  14. Coke is so cut here, that people are returning to designer speed instead. $400 for 1g of highly cut coke VS $200 for 1g of designer very pure amphetamine mixed with MDMA or fentanyl. Seeing loads of it around. And @WolfOfWestStreet is correct - these drugs increase alcohol tolerance. The drugs on their own usually won't result in violence - but add 10 pints and it sure does. This still a thing?
  15. Yup - even here in Melbourne, which is 99.9% safe to walk around in the CBD at all hours, as there are so many Police around, and people are usually chilled - the change has been noticeable. I think being effectively 'locked-up' for nearly 2 years during COVID (see Melbournes lockdown history) has made people forget the 'social rules' and they are having to have them re-inforced. AFL games are getting full of crowd punch-ons, and there seem to be more people 'looking for it' on the streets of Melbourne currently. It is slowly easing down, but it's still very noticeable how much more rowdy the city currently is at times. Hopefully it will get back to pre-covid norms, as Melbourne used to be one of the safest cities on earth (still is tbh)
  16. Just to reassure Pillred - my 26 year old son is gay, and to the best of my knowledge has never buggered anyone in the public change rooms when he goes swimming. Consensually or against their will. I'm so proud of him, resisting all that beefcake and behaving appropriately. I hope you feel safe enough to return to a public changing area. If this post triggers you - my apologies for any medical assistance you may require. Hang on - the phones ringing....... It's 1974 and it's asking for you Pillred....
  17. So if MM doesn't sell up the stadium - CK walks - Derby are liquidated? That about right?
  18. "How will Lansdown make money out of Bristol Sport" That's for all the ostriches that couldn't work it out before. He couldn't do it when WE owned the stadium. He spent £220 million over 20 yrs...... How much will he get back in rental income from a 330 day per year convention centre, car-park, offices and SELLING 125 homes PLUS all the houses and 2 other hotels, shops etc going up on old dirt cheap brown land in the near future. Plus AG and the 3 sports 'franchises'..... Not to mention the apartments and existing offices that have already lined his pockets. You'll be saying his clean water project in Africa (Botswana) - that came with a drilling licence - just 'happened' to find oil and gemstones by accident.......... Good old Uncle Steve - selfless benefactor don't you know. Sooner the Lansdowns leave, the better. "My Money, My Club"
  19. Tinpot as it is - our media team could learn a lesson or two from this about how to use social media. Fair play to their media guy - apparently its one guy who is still a teenager?
