I hate the arty farty ads that do their best not to tell you what the **** the're advertising !

I just despair how much they must have paid the agencies to make some of the adverts! Particularly the 15 second ones to be played before and in every break in a film.

  2. Is it "character" building to coach every player to head for the most congested areas of the pitch rather than look up and see the left or right areas which have acres of space to run into?  This might explain why Mehmeti runs two yards then tries to run through half the opposing players.

  3. He did seem selective for some of the tackles/fouls. There were a few of them falling over in the second half where he stopped play but didn't allow extra time for. Also their goalkeeper was allowed "ample" time to take goal/free kicks. I'm sure that our goalkeepers have been booked for that in the past.

I thought that throughout the game he struggled with the concept that ‘being vaguely near the ball’ and ‘making an attempt to play the ball’ are two different things. I lost count of the number of times he allowed Wednesday players to push, shove, and simply run into our players to knock them off the ball.

And that incident near the end when McCrorie was barged off the ball - that wasn’t a shoulder to shoulder challenge, it was a shoulder barge on a player running with the ball.

Was that where he awarded a thrown in to them?

Watching this, makes me and others so jealous of clubs that have a proper club anthem.

    Fantastic from Forest.

YNWA, Mull of Kintyre, KRO, MOT, even sunderland and hull now singing Wise men say, Hi Ho Sheffield Wednesday, Pitbag at Boro, Blue moon

How hard would it be for the club to play Drink Up Thy Zider before kickoff, with the whole stadium singing it word for word and slowly to the music, just like after full time (when we win)

Think that alone would really improve the atmosphere.

At what point did they think that a football club in the east Midlands was the obvious place to sing "Mull of Kintyre"?

Whatever happened to their old song " Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen?

It's the trumpet fanfare from the William Tell Overture which I introduced in 2008 when I was asked to revamp our pre match routine. You're right in saying that Giacomo Rossini had no connections with City, but he did know how to write a rousing tune. I think it still works well as a signal that kick off isn't far away.  We tried a few different bits of music over the years but nothing has really stuck. I'd be all in favour of Drink Up Thy Zider or Unfinished Sympathy. Whatever is played, you have to stick with it until it becomes an accepted part of pre match.

Thank you. I don't get to too many matches now so I thought it was more recent than 2008! 😀
