  1. I agree. I was paraphrasing what had been written about him earlier in the thread.
  2. I think you’re right. Sammie is probably more suited to the Vardy role, I think he’s quicker though I don’t have any stats to back that up. I remember noticing a couple of years ago how often he was on the scoresheet for Colchester.

I am fairly certain that the delay in appointing a head coach is because of the uncertainties surrounding the budget for the next season due to a lack of ticket sales - I mean because of government restrictions rather than ST holders choosing not to renew because they are unhappy with the choice (predicted or actual) of a new person in charge. SL is someone who understands investment. What he is unlikely to be is a betting man.   9. I completely agree with you. LJ was the right person for the job at the time but his time was up. He will learn from the experience and I hope he builds on it at another club. I respect him for what he achieved overall. Meanwhile we need an overhaul of the coaching setup so I hope Hughton (if we can get him) will bring in his own team. I am relaxed about the time this is taking, I am sure there are a lot of details to be ironed out, including the relationship of the head coach to the rest of the management structure. It is a crucial appointment, not one to be rushed.
