  1. "It's sunk in now." An alternative to the most meaningless question frequently asked by sports interviewers.
  2. Thanks for taking the trouble to write this, excellent summary.
  3. Both Kelly and Pring are real prospects. I expect Lloyd to move to centre back eventually but would like to see him get a good run at LB. Potentially even better than Joe, although I think Joe's defending improved greatly last season, maybe Macca's influence.
  4. Knowle West, in the open air, Knowle West, where the skies are blue.
  5. I'm sure Rudolf Hucker will have a view on this.
  6. I'm sure Rudolf Hucker has a view on that.
  7. I agree, thought he was the stand out player second half.
  8. Either that or he can't win whatever he does, depending on your point of view....
  9. And trousers with an elasticated waistband?
  10. I would think it's better to think of a starting 11 plus subs that allows flexibility, depending on how a game pans out, the opposition sets up etc, rather than one system. In his first full season at City LJ used substitutes well to change games. Having players who can come on and change the way we are playing is surely the key, e.g. switching from a back four to three (or vice versa), pushing full backs up, playing a defensive midfielder to cover etc. I think players such as Brownhill, Paterson, O'Dowda, Watkins, Weimann could thrive. A back three worked the year we won promotion but Cotts didn't have the resources (or tactical nous?) to change it when it stopped working.
