  1. Herbie Kane would've been the last one and it's good to see our good old friend Roy saying this is going to happen.
  2. Iirc Blackpool did something like that but they needed to when they got promoted to the premier league.
  3. Expectations are growth and continuing to push towards the play offs. Ideally top 10, automatic or plays offs to me would be better than expected.
  4. I swear I saw them saying it was going to be used as the old stand was so for away fans.
  5. I really hope they get better disabled facilities, I can't imagine you get the best view from that position and no fan no matter who they support should have to deal with those "facilities"
  6. Glad some of the fewers are acknowledging they'd get battered by us if the "friendly" did go ahead. But let's be honest it'd be full blooded challenges, Jailbird Joey two footing any city player that came close and about 5 red cards in total.
  7. £250,000 is a "hefty" price tag for the fewers ,we paid more than that for Cornick in January.
  8. I was in the Pearson out camp after the west Brom game I just couldn't see how he could come back from that we were absolutely shocking and the only way were heading was down. I was an advocate for him when he joined he was a proven manager which is exactly what we needed and performances last season were fantastic but it just didn't click for us at the start of the season. I'm happy he's proving me wrong since Boxing day and I still believe he is the right man for us through the summer and next season just no more performances like West Brom on boxing day.
  9. You weren't the only one I fully expected to see a statement saying he'd gone by the time I got home (an hour after the final whistle). But I had a feeling he'd get it right and well look at us now. Eight unbeaten, defending relatively well. Attacking well even without Semenyo and is using the academy well.
  10. They obviously haven't included the 10,000 locked out and the 5,000 who get in by paying Dave £5 at the gate
  11. Only professional club. You're forgetting about Bristol Manor Farm
  12. Good bunch of fans they are and when they say they'll stock with them through thick of thin they mean it. I just feel like they are some of the more likeable fans in the country.
  13. Jesus Christ just when you think he can't get any worse he says that. There's an old saying "It's better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt" every time he opens up his mouth he just sounds stupider and stupider.
  14. "listen I'm the best manager this club will ever have, I'm the best manager in League one that there will ever be I mean just look at my record I've lost twice as many games as I've won or drawn. But when the ball boy who is doing his job interferes with our ability to win games we'll struggle at any level. Ignore the fact my team can't defend or score against Accrington Stanley and their absolute dinosaur of a manager in John Coleman who is a good friend of mine. I'm sick of people doing their jobs properly when my team can't it's not a level playing field if you ask me."
  15. Accrington are missing their first choice strikers and have a midfielder playing as a striker currently. I mean I know the sags will say they are only 11 points off the play offs but much like last season they need to get it right in January or it's a trip back down to league two.
  16. Both teams have injuries today so if the sags win they'll be coming for us again. How JB keeps getting away with stuff is amazing, he's got to one of the top people in the country with all these offences yet only being locked up once!
  17. I'd say Bellamy, Warnock, Jones or Paul Warne to be next manager
  18. So 2 games featuring clubs from Bristol against East Anglia clubs let's compare. Away fans. City took 350. Sags took 290. Goals scored. City scored 2. Sags scored 0. Players sent off. City had 0. Sags had 2 sent off. Position in the table after the result. City in 7th in the championship level on points with 5th and 6th place and 5 off Norwich in 2nd. Sags 18th in League one 5 points off 6th 12 points off 2nd and 1 point clear of 21st. But watch out they are coming for us and are going straight to the Premier League after all Saint Barton who wouldn't hurt a fly has said so and I'm not taking into account the 10,000 away fans locked out because little Ipswich town (compared to the mighty famous quarters) wouldn't give them all the tickets for those fans as they didn't want to be outnumbered.
  19. Can't say I'm surprised by the sacking it was a hiding to nothing for Schofield. More surprised the current favourite is David Wagner! Would he really want to go back?
  20. I doubt Ipswich are spending £1.5m on a left back. A fair price for Joey is "we'll loan him make him a decent player and then **** ourselves over the next season"
  21. "Well you see Loyal and true Gasheads I was there on a scouting mission there's this player called Alexis Sanchez who I could turn into a player better than Messi and he would absolutely love to run out wearing the famous quarters but house prices in Bristol are an absolute joke so he'll probably turn us down because of it"
  22. I'll admit during the summer I thought if we get in a decent bid for him I wouldn't be too sad if he left. Model professional by all accounts off the pitch, hasn't thrown his toys out of the pram because he hasn't been playing. Playing in the u23's last season and has really helped the youngsters on the training pitch. He really has taken his opportunity this season (admittedly he's being played as a striker through the middle instead of out wide like LJ did with him) and he offers us something different to the other 4 strikers, I'm glad he didn't leave in the summer.
  23. Yeah such a shame that all the premier league teams have sent out players on loan to the football league (mainly to the championship). I mean it's like the club's want their youngsters playing at the highest level possible that isn't the premier league to get some experience. I mean who sanctioned all those moves and why weren't Bristol Rovers involved in any of the deals!
  24. I can see it now "Yeah, no listen we should've won that game 11-0 their GK taking his time with everything mean we couldn't score the goals we needed to win. I was laughing too much at our Diss track at Shrewsbury have you heard it? It's fantastic. They played 5 at the back to stop us playing football I think I need to write to the FA because it's unfair that opposition would stop the mighty Barca of League One playing football. Watching the game out their gave me another bad stomach just like Shrewsbury or it may have been the Korma I had last night, but enough about my team Morecambe are only known because of Morecambe and Wise I was surprised when they came up in the fixture list I didn't even know they had a football club. This team is premier League ready and when we come up against a team who is prepared to play football we will show you what we can do, discounting the Barnsley result because they just got relegated from the championship where we will be next season Bristol city we're coming for you"
