  4. Great player. I was at the Middlesbrough game and remember the awful sound of that ‘crack’ as if it were yesterday. My dad was almost in tears as poor Gerry was stretchered off, clearly in immense pain. I heard a story (no way of knowing if it is true) that McMordie’s team-mates wouldn’t talk to him in the changing rooms after the game due to the horrendous nature of the tackle and the horrible consequences. RIP Gerry - one of my favourite players when I was a lad.
  5. It's a right pain given that we have to drive up from Cornwall - by the time we park up, get something to eat and get in our seats, it's an early start!

  8. Further to the above, I also e-mailed the club to say thanks - got a couple of nice replies from Customer Services and Security.
  9. The stewards come in for considerable flak on here - often with justification. However, I think it is important to also mention when they do well. My son was taken ill at the Hull game on Wednesday. His mum escorted him out of the seating area (W16) to get some assistance. The first steward they came to was excellent - called assistance and generally did all that he could until others came to help, eventually getting him to the medical centre where he was looked after by the St John's team.
