The council probably do not want to use any of their own cash to do anything about this. Knowing full well what Mr Lansdown is worth so will be looking for the club to fund any initiatives that may be forthcoming. Would another option here to be may be look at this from outside the box a little. Say if the club was to put a levy on tickets (now I know this might cause a stir as tickets prices are obviously a bit of a sore subject with some). But come to an agreement with all the public transport authorities around and with your match day ticket or season ticket you be able to use public transport for free on match days? Granted this would probably not be such a popular idea on midweek games where people will want to drive and park. But I thought it was an idea that may be viable.
