  1. Can’t tell if sarcastic or not, but since turning us down he has scored 47 league goals, including 24 in the prem, would have been an unbelievable signing at that time.
  2. Tommy Rowe was an absolute fanny for that goal, no way do you stay down like that in your own box knowing you are being attacked, waster just wanted a cheap free kick.
  3. I get what you are saying, hopefully this time its the kick up the ass he needed, only time will tell & hopefully he comes good consistently.
  4. You think we have been a promotion team over the past 5 months!?!?! Cant knock the player that came in today, we have won by more than 1 goal for the first time since god knows when!!!
  5. Just won 2-0 against Preston, with Palmer starting for the first time in over 6 months........what has made you “very concerned” considering the other shite of the past few months?
  6. Some say he is too lazy and doesnt bother trying to do any defensive work....he will never be able to win in some peoples opinion. He is what he is & i would much rather have him with us than against us, there is a real player there.
  7. Pretty sure a few seasons back De Bruyne lost possession more than any other player in the premier league......but also made the most assists. Stats can mean anything you want them to, but personally i would much rather have a player who loses the ball 9 times out of 10, if he can can also get you a goal with that other 1. BTW i am by no means saying Palmer is anywhere near KDB level!
  8. Dont think you can just blame the medical team, serious questions need to be asked of Holden/Simpson/Downing ability to organise proper training sessions, seems like they must be going way too intense.
  9. As Nuno said the other day, if football is stopped again, it is unlikely to ever come back, at least the way it was. It's one of the only things keeping me sane & not as miserable as i would be during this pandemic (first world problems). Sure, it could be looked at as being selfish, but when you are locked up with only 1 other person working from home since March, it's the only thing that gives me something to look forward to, otherwise it just feels like you are living to work (i know, thankfully i still have job). Think it's right that elite sports are being given the chance to continue
  10. Not sure about this one (your first paragraph that is). Of course, if the players didnt want health issues known then so be it, but really dont see why they would keep long covid issues a secret. Steve Bruce was extremely open about the issues Alain Saint-Maximin & Jamal Lascelles are currently going through regarding covid long term effects.
  11. Possibly, as i said “may” have been a contributing reason to not perhaps offering what Smith wanted, so not fully sure, either way hindsight is a thing of beauty.
  12. Hopefully that was the case, as i said “may” have been the reason Korey went, which i wasn’t against at the time as it did seem sensible on paper....but the Brunt deal never looked like it was gonna be a master stroke. I don’t believe Brunt was on cheap wage.
  13. How has it not been a disaster!? Spunked a load of wages on a complete has been who contributed nothing but took up a wage.....& may well of been the reason Korey Smith was let go!!!
  14. I really hope im proven wrong and they do come back, but im not sure we will. Dasilva i am almost certain we wont see back, he has had shin problems before and has only just had his operation, can see him given a good 5-6 months recovery in the hope it never flares up again. Mawson with his own past injuries along with the current bad one (possibly worst he has done?) not so sure he will be desperate to rush himself back for a club he is only on loan at, think him and Sessegnon may still be here as we have already had to pay a guaranteed fee for the season perhaps, no idea. Williams
  15. I dont see any of those playing much of a part in the remainder of our season personally, apart from Paterson, but he was off it for a while himself anyway. Baker may see back, but don’t think we will see Dasilva, Mawson, Williams or Walsh this season, O’dowda doesn’t sound hopeful either, Sessegnon maybe? Think we can all hope we don’t have to see Brunt again.....
  16. For what it’s worth, you make the point of Wells stealing a living, then mention players being played out of position.....Wells is currently being played out of position (& has been most of the season), hes been a Championship center forward for the best of part of 7-8 years. I’m not watching it tonight, but if he does look disinterested, can you blame him? He would be upfront in his correct position at over two thirds of the teams in this league, but for some reason not us.
  17. This is one of the major worries for me it we get stuck in a bad run, it’s one thing being able to motivate a group of 17-19 year olds playing for their national teams, but when a failed Cheltenham Town manager and failed Stockport County manager try and get the likes of Kalas, Wells & Martin ect fired up? I just dont see it working.
  18. What the **** are you talking about?
  19. Think Semenyo would be an excellent full back, cant finish his dinner, but can run like ****, worked for Alphonso Davies, he has the pace, just needs to get his defending up to scratch.....
  20. No mate, he has had ample chances, talks well to the fans, & he came from an “exotic” team whilst captaining England in the youth so has had an easy ride, if he was signed from Oldham then **** me, he would be getting pelters for the past 12-18 months for not being championship standard.
  21. **** off to Rovers, worse than Matthew Bates, how many chances will the bloke get?
