  1. I’m not slagging btw, just really enjoyed the reaction to Pring, the bloke can be a bit of a crazy but class, nice to see a prem club appreciate him!
  2. Not sure if anyone has already posted this, but this is from KUMB about Pring, which i fooking loved!: Their left back …. Bit of Julian Dicks in his play … potential head case material Not sure he would last a full game in Premier league but I thought he was fun
  3. But i never said that i wouldn’t be posting again until we were in the premier league did i? Interestingly enough, that tweet has now been deleted from his twitter account……im going to leave it here anyway, what a great result today! The replay will be a cracker
  4. Oh i am, most certainly, just putting it out there is all.
  5. Maybe….but when you are in a position of power, if you say/post certain things, expect them to get dragged up, some people dont forget.
  6. Binman posting non-stop today…..including retweeting something about “how proud” he is after the equalising goal…… an ego even bigger than Ashton’s?
  7. Well played City, thought we were excellent after the first 10 minutes, very physical and in their faces straight from conceding, couldn’t ask for anymore.
  8. Thats what i thought as well, which is strange as Coufal is no stranger to a tough tackle and a bit of shithousing himself!
  9. Think we have looked ok since conceding, in a wierd way seems to have woken us up. Loving the Pring v Coufal battle!
  10. Meh if they go, they go, but i just think due to the massive reaction & protests of the fans last time that they may think twice about it. I often find the most boring matches are when the top teams play each other anyway, these days with the amount of analysis & tactic work they put in to it, they end up cancelling each other out so it's a drab affair.....people would soon get bored of watching that type of football every week.
  11. Not sure if this will change much, particularly for the English clubs - it was soon pretty apparent that the driving forces were Barcelona, Juventus & Real Madrid, all of which were massively fooked financially & that is where their drive came from. Madrid seem to have sorted themselves out a bit now but Barca & Juve are still very much in massive trouble.......& lets be honest, Juventus aren't exactly an elite club these days.
  12. I think it was more so the manner in which we lost & the momentum that we would of taken from that game, beating what appeared to be the run-away leaders of the league & to end the year in 2nd place, after the hysteria & euphoria of beating Man Utd, it would of shown how much steel & determination there was in the group to go again. Of course that isn't the game that derailed us (i would of said that damage was done in the Sunderland game when we were 3 goals up at half time), but i do think that would of been a massive result that could have potentially changed the way the second half of the season went.......but we will never know.
  13. I think you are completely misunderstanding my point mate. Did i want Manning? No. Do i think he will succeed & take us new heights? Not at all. But why bother wasting my Saturday if i don't have some form of hope. I have already paid for my season ticket so i'm not going to stop going halfway through the season. Will i get a season ticket next year? Most likely yes, despite my apathy towards the current owners - it's not their club, it's ours, despite what Lansdown may say. I wont be giving up something i love due to my dislike of the owner. The club will be here long after they leave
  14. Of course i can see the warning signs......but there's not much we can do about it as the powers that be don't give a shit what we think. Also, i believe Manning has a lot more substance than LJ ever has & ever will have. I have been calling for the Lansdown's to leave this club for a number of years, despite people screaming "careful what you wish for". But there needs to be some hope for the summer otherwise what's the bloody point?
  15. I think a major issue is that the players were coached and set up to play a certain way, particularly over last season and this pre-season (counter attacking, fast paced), to now have to have all of that ripped up & play a completely different style (possesion based, keep the ball, pass pass pass) which unfortunately some just aren’t up to that standard of play in this division, especially the likes of Williams and our wide players (barring Sykes). Whilst i am pretty confident we won’t be relegated or end up in a scrap (fingers crossed!) it certainly won’t be a final 6 months of challenging for top half. Manning really needs some serious backing in the summer if he is going to succeed & transfer his methods over to this division.
  16. Pearson had these lot playing way above their ability. Unfortunately i think we are in for some tough times ahead.
  17. That bloke is a grade A fanny, cant handle the heat so he’s scurrying away. Bitch ass ******
  18. Im always a bit confused on how the route works these days, especially as 2 (i think?) of the best 3rd place sides go through. If we want to win it then we were always likely to meet France at some stage & we are due a win over them at some point! Never know, they may have a mare like last time and get knocked out in the second round, but the fact that they don’t seem to have many bad eggs in their dressing room these days makes that scenario less likely this time.
  19. Think you are giving Spain a bit too much credit there! No Gavi, a mediocre defence and Morata up top. I personally don’t think they are anywhere close to our level (currently). France is the main worry to stop us winning, but even then i fancy our chances as long as we have Kane and Bellingham fit.
  20. The whole "Gary Johnson wasn't wanted" seems to be people re-writing history for their own arguments, or people who are simply too young to remember him being appointed - he was a very highly rated manager when we appointed him. Sure, discontent grew a few months after he took over during the 9 match losing streak, but i don't remember people being disappointed when he first arrived.....particularly as anyone was better than Tinnion back then!
  21. The more i think about it, the more i feel that we could do a hell of a lot worse. We have heard the line of "young, up & coming, attacking" coach before with LJ & Holden (even as far back as McInnes), but this guy seems to have more substance that the previous, particularly with working with CFG (as mentioned, they don't just employ people without their merits). Still think it would have made more sense to of done this in the coming summer & the board really do need to back him as i don't think we have the quality of players to play his brand of football without struggling - at the moment we are a fast counter attacking team, so we certainly need further investment in the central midfield positions to play his way.
  22. I’d actually rate it if he appointed himself after saying something like that.
  23. He literally dragged them from league 2 to within a penalty of the prem whilst winning a trophy, as you say it is going to take a hell of a lot for him to get the chop. Even if they finish 21st,he is still in credit!
