It’s really sad to hear so many loyal fans not planning on renewing next season. A club like Bristol City who claim to be a community club should be doing everything possible to retain their loyal supporters who are the lifeblood of the club. We get a few lines from the Bristol Sport not Bristol City CEO to accompany the price increases! Shocking communication again.

What a depressing listen. The Lansdown’s are taking us to league 1.
-
So many poor decisions to choose from over the years. The Dean Holden appointment is way up there after taking applications from all over the world and we went with LJ’s assistant!
-
I’m desperate for new ownership and a proper board focussed solely on Bristol City FC not Bristol Sport.

Great post. That’s the depressing thing we have seen this all before under the Lansdown’s over the last 20 years or so.

The Tom Thumb’s Song is from that era I think. Always remember that being sung around that time. People have tried singing it in recent years but the younger fans don’t know it unfortunately.

Totally agree with these posts. Challenging the Championship Play Offs is a minimum and we have only managed it once in the Lansdown era.

Parachute Payment teams needs asterisks
The Wild Bunch replied to Lord Northski's topic in Football Chat
It is unfair, however all of those teams have delivered on the pitch unlike ourselves. -
Last night’s “sold out” Ashton Gate?
The Wild Bunch replied to Wokingham Red's topic in Football Chat
Yep, people were streaming out after 40 mins last night. -
They have written off this season. I hope I’m wrong but can’t see this latest plan and change of direction working. Oh well let’s see where we are after the next three transfer windows.

Can’t be many grounds in the country where the most vocal fans are stuck in the corner. Hopefully, the club will see sense and expand the unreserved standing across the rest of the South Stand. Discussions have started but this needs to happen ASAP so probably looking at start of 25/26 season at best. There will be some upheaval with fans who currently sit in the middle blocks of the South Stand but we as fans have had this previously with changes to ground etc. I would like to see the Stand renamed in recognition of one of our former greats like the Atyeo Stand. We may get back to some sort of traditional home end with fewer empty seats!

Tinnion has written off the season judging by his interview on Radio Bristol. Lots of talk about the summer transfer window and our targets. Would like a number 9 and a 10 if Twine returns to Burnley. King and James will definitely be released.

Feedback from the latest SC&T meeting with BCFC
The Wild Bunch replied to phantom's topic in Football Chat
Thanks for raising this issue. Strange response from the club. The majority of clubs across the country have their name and crest on the outside of the stadium including us before the redevelopment. -
Too many matches in the Championship which impacts the quality. 38 games season like the Premier League is about right. Get rid of the EFL Cup and Trophy also and reduce midweek fixtures. Easy!

Can’t see any improvement in merchandise anytime soon. Doesn’t seem to be on City’s radar unfortunately. We have been talking about it for years - poor service, poor designs and no stock!
-
We had some shocking crowds during that period. I remember Scott Davidson coming in as Chairman and setting up a supporters database. Crowds started to rise again towards the end of the 90’s.

Has anyone heard anything? I would like us to keep the pinstripes on our home shirt, as different to all of the other red shirts out there. Hopefully the splat Robin experiment is over!

Poll on the Lansdowns - Stay or Go?
The Wild Bunch replied to The Constant Rabbit's topic in Football Chat
I will always compare us against Brighton. Brighton CEO on Talksport now and comes across very well. -
Brentford, Brighton

Preston North End away match thread
The Wild Bunch replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Supporting this club is so frustrating, so many lows and so few highs in my 40 years of watching. Destined to remain a footballing backwater.
