What an earth is going on, we're now at a point where I would actually be happy with us appointing Neil Warnock.

I think this is somewhat down to how Kalas wants him to play- he seemed keen to keep Tanner close to him- and with no support ahead of him due to how narrow we were this was an issue and very evident! @Davefevs pointed this out I think in an earlier thread around this.

My “guff” was based on the fact he wasn’t signed to be a first choice RB immediately- so he’s ahead of the planned trajectory as things stand.

Maybe an overreaction to say this is/could be a turning point- but today was all about the Win, and we did that, the ugly way. We’re a work in progress, and have to accept that for this season, but certainly the home monkey is off the back now. time to make AG like that all the time now in terms of the vocal support. If the players show willing/effort, the fans will more than back them.

Given what happened (unfairly IMO) last weekend, I think George deserved a thread for today. He was “one for the future” who’s now made the RB position his own, with pretty much no direct support, he has more than held his own, and I thought today, especially late on he did very well. considering his age, and experience, he’s made a very promising start, and certainly has some real steel about him with some crunching tackles! He will only get better, but already is starting to make himself a player who’s “type” we have so badly missed. Now- let’s get him a song!

You’re not looking at the whole pie, Pete. I could show you, I dunno, 7 goals and 10 assists in 140 odd games, that literally prove he is useless.

Errrrr- yeah but did you not his slide tackle away @ Peterborough? that’s the real quiz.

I don’t think we all want him today start being someone who dives into tackles etc, I think we all just want to see him have positive impacts on the game! for his size, build, and attributes, he should do far far more than he does. He should be more direct, braver on the ball, and supply more chances- it’s frustrating as we know he can (1-2 times a season) do this, but for where we are, and where we want to be he needs to be doing it far more often.

Weimann and Paterson both effect/effected the games with goals and assists- you can take their physicality and accept it vs what they offer you. it’s also not a comparison, COD is built differently to AW & JP.
