  1. The mother in law in my case!
  2. My girl (12) is in her 3rd season of football and loves it . Games have been severely disrupted because of the rubbish weather this season, they’ve only played one game at home since the end of November. She’s doing really well , I never expected her to be as good to be honest and I love watching her play ,she’s got way more ability and pace than I did at that age . I’m a proud dad ! Women’s football will only improve in time with the amount of good quality coaching girls get now . She plays for her club side on a Sunday and south glos on a Saturday and is hoping to be in the south glos side next season when they will hopefully step up from the Somerset girl’s league to the junior prem league. Also the change from 9 to 11 aside to deal with . With her pace and stamina I think she’ll relish a bigger pitch , certainly worked in her favour when they moved from 7 to 9 aside I think the changes in kick off times for city next season will have a big impact on how many games we can watch as it will clash with her games . No contest there though , I’d rather watch her play anyway!
  3. This has been noticeable the last 2 home games. Very little or no movement when we’ve got the ball at the back which results in the usual sideways and back stuff or as you say a hopeful boot upfield. Totally crap to watch
  4. Old Astro pitches are awful surfaces to train or play on. My daughter’s team train at Abbeywood school through the winter , rock hard surface, ball travels too fast and bounces too high. Not good for your knees either twisting and turning on that. The trouble is there’s nowhere near enough decent affordable winter training pitches to go round unfortunately
  5. Yep this winter has been a nightmare for kids football. My girls u12 Sunday team have only played 1 game on their home pitch since Xmas . Fixtures are stacking up and Sunday isn’t looking good .She also plays for South Glos on a Saturday and their home games are on 3G luckily. There are more 3G pitches coming gradually ,the company I work for have done a new pavilion and 3G pitch at st Brendan’s and I’ve heard that mangotsfield and Bitton have them planned.
  6. Nailed it there I think what you’ve said most city fans would agree with
  7. If you’ve got a Bristol sport account then tickets can be transferred. They just have to link their account with yours using your account number and then transfer the tickets for that game to you .
  8. It’s happening in local football, someone I know was moaning about players cutting socks recently. Whatever trends happen at pro level often filter all the way down. last week we had a message from my girls RTC club about stopping kids wearing micro shin pads and the FA want to discourage their use in grassroots football .
  9. 4 pages in on this section a chap was asking about stadium tours to take his son on before going to his sons first game. Might be a bit short notice but as your package includes a tour maybe you could message him ? Brilliant gesture to offer people, and I’m surprised no one has suggested anyone yet.

    South Stand

£55 under 12 season tickets in upper landsdown and south stand , then are mostly about £100 elsewhere and up to £150 landsdown centre . All under 12s get a free shirt

    South Stand

I think this goes on a lot more than people realise. People buy the cheapest tickets then all they have to do is look on the ticketing app to see where the seats are in the landsdown that haven’t been sold just before they go in. Not rocket science is it. The stewards on the steps going up into each section could do random ticket checking but even that might not stop it
  12. These things take time you know, they’re still writing the risk assessment
  13. “I’ve told them to throw their shirts” Can the club afford that after spending out on a new cow shed?
  14. Just had a quick butchers, telling em what they want to hear springs to mind
  15. You do the tour around the changing rooms etc with the kids then you go off up to the Heineken lounge whilst the kids meet the players. The kids meet you up at the Heineken lounge for some grub then they go off to get ready for going out for kick off with a bit of a warm up on the side off the pitch . They go out with the players at the start of the game and you take your seats in front of the Heineken lounge . They then bring the kids up to you afterwards . that’s about the long and short of it if it’s still the same . you get photographer photos of them about a week later
  16. They will love it! They will probably get a bit nervous prior to going out on the pitch but that’s normal for them. My girl did it for her 11th birthday, said it was the best day ever! Make sure they’ve got something for the players to sign, I left it a bit last minute and had to buy a city calendar and pen on the day. Loads of photo opportunities before ko when you go around the stadium but they don’t allow photos in the changing room. It’s a great day for both the kids and the adults and something City do well in my opinion.
  17. Says coming soon on the website . you get to see a fair bit of the stadium as part of the mascot package (u12s only), and parents do to. Might be a bit early for him though if he’s never been before. Can thoroughly recommend it though
  18. I can’t see them printing ‘you’re not singing over there , you c***s in that young reds mag! To be honest , even though I don’t mind a bit of swearing myself being in the building trade, do people really need to sing that in a stadium with lots of young kids present? If you’ve got young kids with you I can assure you it’s an uncomfortable experience . The usual effing and jeffing I think most people accept that if you bring kids into a stadium you have to live with it but the ‘C’ word is a bit extreme. just my own personal opinion and I don’t expect things to change . It could well be putting off people bringing young un’s and future reds lost.
  19. What could possibly go wrong………..
  20. Oh yes! - How many children’s you are registering?
  21. It amazes me, you wrack your brains thinking surely there is nothing new left in the Gas comedy gift giving tank and then they come out with a beauty like this one!
  22. Chracter building? Maybe they are looking to rival John Deere in agricultural machinery?
  23. You can just see can’t you ….. I’ve got a cunning plan Blackadder, we’ll set up an academy in that well known footballing nation Kuwait , snap up all the top local young lads and in 10 years time we’ll overtake they gurt Teds and be giving Man City a run for their money in the prem . Brilliant Baldrick , I’ll get Abdul on the case immediately
  24. Accademy? Sounds a bit of a gamble to me. Bristol rovers ,a renowned name in football
