  1. One real odd one sticks in my mind, Luton away in the Anglo Italian early 90's I would think. Probably no more than 50 in the away end, players trying to give away complimentary tickets outside, but it was the days of all ticket for away fans at Luton. The stewards tried to make you sit in your allocated seat! For the record, 1-0 win Wayne Allison scored from memory.
  2. I don't remember that keeper at all, commentary says he was understudy to Keith Welch.
  3. most boring video ever...…...no one scored
  4. a great day out in a season of great days but one of the best things for me was that shirt, still probably one of my favourites
  5. Whilst one doesn't like to defend these deluded halfwits, when I read it I assumed it meant as as crowd percentage, rather than as a rank among other clubs. Therefore suggesting that their attendances are made up of ST holders in the majority.
  6. I think Brum were given an all clear last week by the EFL, however the EFL can appeal https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51773298
  7. I can only really comment on players I've seen as I know what they brought, so I was thinking Andy Cole or the Goat for the most natural goal scorers I can remember - along with Super Bob Taylor who didn't only score inside the area, he could score from almost anywhere. Honorable mentions for Brian Tinnion, Gary Shelton but Alan Walsh in his prime, to see that shuffle working again!
  8. can we VAR their decision to postpone when we should have played them, we would have mullered them at the time.
  9. A night match at Luton away in the FA cup for a replay a few years ago got called off at around half 6, just as we were passing below the M1 going into the town centre.
  10. seems only right to post this again https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/9295743/story-of-soccer-saturday-lg2-relegation-battle
  11. Ryan Bennett on his way for a medical apparently, season long loan with view to permanent. Sky suggest it's big news for Bristol City fans!
  12. is that so they can avoid the pre match rush on matchday?
  13. who knew the Premier League was going strong in 1978!
  14. Oh, I see..... we were actually LUCKY he got injured then
  15. more chance of getting Jim Bowen......... and he's dead!
  16. and while we're at it, Lansdown should have also bought Messi, Kane, Ronaldo, DeBruyne & Aguero if he was serious.
  17. Bob Taylor has to be up there (as his time as a City player) Andy Cole for someone who went on after City Maybe the 'Goat' covers best (in my time) at City and didn't do too badly after. Worst - can nobody else remember Harpal Singh?
  18. well the last former Bournemouth man we had did an excellent job didn't he, and when he came he was exactly what we needed apparently!
  19. and you think that will stop them?
  20. I'm sure the commentator said he'd only played 3 PL games in 21 months....... all against City!
  21. Wasn’t that the previous decade? 2002/3 season I think
  22. a fans favourite moment - so Aiden, as an ex Swindle player would you like to see them go up? NO NO NO
