  1. Two words - Mike Ashley. Treated badly from the start and a ridiculous saga with Joe Kinnear. Eventually replaced with Pardew.
  2. Just looking at the teams that could’ve been and it ain’t saying much. Glad that he’s interested in us though.
  3. Reassuring if true. I remember a couple of seasons ago a poster saying they’d slit their wrists if MM became manager. Fella hang in there and dm if you’d like to chat.
  4. Anyone could be under that costume. Has the build of Scott Davidson perhaps.
  5. MA is chief executive, JL chairman, SL owner. Interesting to know who was involved in discussions on LJ, what person or persons made the call, and who will be active in the search for a new manager. Probably an unpopular view but I say leave the search to MA.
  6. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him take an assistant role at a top club. The Arteta route to the top.
  7. No doubt one or both of Holden and Macallister will follow LJ out the door soon enough.
  8. Or a chance to get themselves back where they belong and prove a point?
  9. I think we need someone with championship promotion and/or success in a top league. Someone for whom City is an exciting project rather than a step up.
  10. Lazy journalism linking us to another Westcountry club’s manager just like Tisdale last time around. SL and MA have lost it if they appoint Lowe. They won’t.
  11. Hope you’re right, just don’t think Cook is the right fit. Personality, our location, his CV all wrong. Beginning to think that Quique Sanchez Flores and Jokanovic will be near the top of the list, possibly above Hughton. I’d be very happy with any of those three.
  12. L2 twice and L1 though. And all clubs that you’d expect would be challenging if managed well. That don’t impress me much compared to McCarthy or Hughton.
  13. He needs to prove himself in England before going back to Liverpool, which must be his long term plan. Not a chance he can go from perennial runner up to Celtic to managing Liverpool. Not top of my list for City but preferable to Robins, Lowe, Cook.
  14. Definitely. I will be surprised and disappointed if a Lowe, Cook or Robins is appointed. Everything is in place and now is the time to add the right manager to that.
