  1. No swipe at anyone, just suggesting that there is an opportunity to help out at an acute time of need. Many people are getting their full wage, many won’t be. A good objective metric for this being huge increase in applications for Universal Credit.
  2. Some might be happening, agreed. All are practical and beneficial.
  3. It does seem players are being paid in full. Inaction from players and club is beginning to leave a bad taste tbh. Other clubs are doing more for their communities. We have a rich owner with proud Bristolian heritage, and players earning more in a month than many of the non-playing staff or local residents will earn in a year. Could it be possible to: - Donate a % of player wages to support non-playing staff - Make a donation to local hospices, which are now in dire financial straits just as they could play a major role particularly if there is a trend for some towards palliation vs treatment - Use the Gate as a community hub for storage and distribution of food aid or medical supplies - Retain commercial catering supply chains and offer meals to those in close proximity Surely more can be done in extraordinary times?
  4. Will City playing staff take a temporary wage cut? I see Premier League has taken a blanket approach to defer, but clubs from Barcelona to Leeds negotiating bespoke packages with their players. Personally I think a temporary cut from City players would strike the right tone, they have bills to pay but by any standard are affluent young men. It would help Bristol Sport continue to pay non-playing staff regardless of SL’s generosity or the government scheme.
  5. Apparently LJ is not under pressure, this season is a clean slate and 22 of those games mean nothing though.
  6. We are going down unless someone at the club wakes up. Delusional.
  7. All just hot air and media spin. Results are what matter and they have been appalling. As I have said on other threads and mostly get slated by the happy clapper brigade - LJ is a good times manager and when results and confidence start to go he has nothing in his character to bring it back. Add to that his reluctance to have strong and senior voices in the dressing room, and a very hit and miss recruitment policy and I genuinely believe we could be relegated next year unless he goes. Worrying times to be a City fan.
  8. Just ignore him mate he’s off on one of his deranged rants again.
  9. Today’s the day we go back into the top six and stay there COYR
  10. Fair play they have been more balanced than I anticipated. Good analysis from Andy Hinchcliffe too actually.
  11. Get back to watching your own team. Oh no wait the Gas are only on tv once a season
  12. Sky show their bias within 30 seconds of coverage. Steve McLaren intro’d as a former Derby manager. Minto forgets he’s also a former City player. And the other pundit is Keith Andrews who knows nothing about City but seems to hate us anyway.
  13. He might be meaning the same thing. Needs clarification from this Zulu Warrior. Wandering about Grand Central in the purple and lime and people very friendly so far.
