Hope you all have a good Christmas despite all the crap that has gone on and continues to go on. If ever anyone needs a chat then please PM me anytime. Sometimes I think it can be easier talking to people you don't really know than those you do as it's easier to offload.
Perhaps when all this is over we can all meet up for a pint and a laugh.
Be good and mostly stay safe.
Happy Christmas
Tony
PS: @JulieHasked that I share her xmas pic with you all..
Wow!!! Thank u very much, again you will be sorely disappointed when we finally meet.
thank you for the thought, been a tough time for everyone, keep smiling people , and always remember football fans are one big family who can listen and help no matter what the problem is.
I have weirdly missed all of you, even the abusive ones and can’t wait for fans to return to football.
deployed to Bristol city centre team so might catch up with some of you before football returns, keep safe everyone

WTF is this about?
It’s a well known documented fact that all Gasheads are horse punchers and are scum of the earth.
But HOW DARE YOU suggest a few war memorial defacers and Charlton away women and children beaters represent our proud bed sheet hanging fanbase.
Offended by everything, ashamed of nothingAs for 'ashamed of nothing', I'm ashamed that they carry the same city name as us.
As for the 1 bad year thing, is our stadium / team/ training complex etc being replaced by tents then? INFRASTRUCTURE saggies, INFRASTRUCTURE!
Fake news I am afraid, not as reported and dealt with at the time

Well... he said the ‘crime’ resulted in a community resolution. This is an informal disposal which stops the matter having to go through court. It is saved solely for the least serious matters. Theres must be an admission from the ‘offender’ and there’s always some form of reparation.
He says “not to contact for 16 weeks”. Which is more than unlikely.
I can therefore confirm that Henbury Gas is one of the following:
1. Misinformed.
2. incorrect.
3. full of shit.
I know where my money is.
In this force we offer a community resolution/ conditional caution for lesser offences that are admitted, part of the disposal can be a punishment for up to 16 weeks, for instance a male was recently conditionally cautioned in relation to a football game and he received a 16 week ban at home games . Nothing to do with courts , if this 16 week ban is breached then the person gets summonsed to court for the original offence. I understand our force are one of only a few who offer this. It therefore could be a possibility.
we also offer alcohol/ drug/ anger management courses as part of the conditions .

How much did you make from your 'cash donations' pint pot this year?
I always thought it was just a myth until my first football duty there , the pint glass came out, at that point I left realising the stories were true

Was all City in the away end that day or so the Blue Few believe all because when Mansfield scored their supporters actually celebrated the goal!! I can only assume it was gaslogic at its finest as every other clubs supporters love the Sags and wouldn’t dream of celebrating the goal that sent them down, only them Ted’s would do such a thing.
As I have previously stated a number of times, there were no city fans in the Mansfield end .

Apart from the issues you faced, to us it was a great day
The footage didn’t seem to catch it , but on the final whistle there was a deep silence, really eerie looking back . Lots of genuine football fans deeply upset, and a few idiots that got all the publicity unfortunately

It’s funny but a bit of a myth really, this season in their division they’ve been awarded the same number of pens as Ipswich, Rotherham, Peterborough, Coventry, Sunderland, Pompey, Accrington Stanley and Blackpool and less than their great mates Wycombe ...
Happened right in front of us, 6 football cops, all in agreement it was a stonewall penalty

I was on duty last night for this game and I can absolutely say that the Bolton fans were some of the most passionate football fans I have met in a long time, supported their team the whole game, showed top respect when needed for a minutes clap in memory of a Bristol rovers fan who had recently passed away and are a credit to their team .
Not only that , over 500 on a cold Tuesday night is a great effort !!

... ** World gone totally PC bonkers ** .... really?
..bet our @JulieH will have something to say about that! . (could be part of Boris's police recruitment drive I guess)
There have been reports made to kick it out about the homophobic chanting at the game, sadly a little more offensive than the original poster quoted
I still don’t understand why people feel the need to chant homophobic or racist chants at football matches , it tarnishes every fan of that team with the same brush . The law is clear , don’t do any chanting of that nature. There are 100s of other chants which can be sung.
I don’t think it is the world gone bonkers , it is more that the world is so much more diverse and inclusive and a very very small minority of “ fans”choose to show how behind the times they are in front of their mates. When they are spoken to one on one by us they almost always are ashamed of their actions and words, yet still it goes on.
It is not difficult to sing chants that are not homophobic or racist .
