  1. His wrongly disallowed goal away to Wigan was one of the best I've seen from a City player. Such a shame. Edit: This one...
  2. Always struck me as someone who liked the pro football lifestyle and the attention that went with it more than the football itself. Post 2018 WC win he never really looked interested anytime i saw him play. No great loss to the game these days and effectively ends his career.
  3. If he gives a polite clap as he comes out to warm up i can see him getting the same back but once the games underway i hope he gets pelters. 50 odd goals, thanks very much but it was pretty much after that point he was just turning up for the pay cheque. That's not been forgotten.
  4. Always enjoyed their down to earth cooking style. Nothing too poncy like other tv chefs. Some entertaining road trips too. Indeed they were. Sad to see good friends and a duo like that split.
  5. Had to zoom in, thought that was a Nun serving the beers.
  6. Plenty of criticism flying about for the powers that be lately but I think they've got this one right. He looked very raw to me in those sub appearances. Good chance for him to get games and still be involved with training/U21s here.
  7. Well thats 135 mins in a row of depressing football we've managed. God help us if it ends up 180. So frustrating.
  8. Tomorrow's home defeat against bottom of the table Carlisle. Come on Simmo!
  9. He's obviously Millwall through and through and someone they think they can trust to keep them up. Anyone is a gamble at this stage. Probably would of been Warnock if he'd not gone north of the border.
  10. What a trooper. Always had a soft spot for Michelle as many of us do. Shout out to her fella as well. Not easy being the partner with a regular pregnancy, let alone this, twice. Wish them all the best.
  11. When a lot of new members signed up post Nige's sacking, i think the Admin team explained that some or at least one had signed up using their Bristol Sport email address. Happy to be corrected if that wasn't the case.
  12. Read this one online once... Blokes mate with a limp was called Sniper's Nightmare
  13. Good read and no elephants in sight.
  14. Quite how we manage to put in 2 polar opposite peformances within the same week is beyond me. They looked clueless today. Couldn't even manage the basics right. I know LM will get and take his share of the responsibility but he'll be as frustrated as any of us having to watch that unfold. Totally piss poor from front to back today. Max gets a pass and i'd say Conway tried his best from the bench but with nobody around him even on the same page. Think we'll all appreciate a week off after that.
  15. Pretty much everything about that half was utter shite and i include QPR in that as well.
  16. God help anyone that knows a Martin Ashton.
  17. Just underlines how good a win it was. Yet to achieve anything as a manager.
  18. Not watching but I've no love for Martin. I was shocked when he said post match we were good. Blokes a series of asterisks
  19. The Mrs is French and from that side of the country so have spent a few holidays in and around the Alps, Haut-Savoie etc. Last summer we were had the opportunity to stay at her cousins chalet in Megeve, which we would never be able to afford to do ourselves. It's a very pretty little town and one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the world in season. It can be a bit pricey even in the summer but you can find reasonable places to eat and drink. It's quite the experience just sat drinking a cold beer watching the super rich do their thing. Every other car is a super car it seems! We day tripped from there to Chamonix, not for the town, it's nothing special, but to go up the Aiguille du Midi. That was stunning and something i would recommend to anyone that gets the chance, unless of course you are terrified of heights. Annecy is lovely and is cycle friendly. Quite a few routes you can cycle to from there. If you want a more off road experience then the Sixt fer a Cheval is a stunning place to hike or cycle. Parc de Merlet is a nice day out. At altitude opposite the Mont Blanc massif, it's a wildlife park but with native alpine species and some stunning views. Spent some time in the Jura mountains as well. It's sub-alpine so not so high but that might make it a little more cycle friendly but lets face it, there will be plenty hills to climb wherever you go in that part of the world. Not quite Alpe d'Huez on Le Tour but still going to have to earn those views and a rewarding dinner and drinks in the evening. Let me know if you want any more info about the above and have a great trip, it's a beautiful part of the world.
