Really frustrating end to the year. So many things to get annoyed about but you have to take heart in the performance, really good effort and probably one of our best overall 90 mins of the season.

Shame the ref spoilt a really good 45 for us. Come out flying with intent again and we can still win this. If someone could stick one on Austin, I'd appreciate it!

One of our more consistant players during his time here. He's not spectacular on the goals return although looks like he is on course for a personal best this season and also for us. I do find he is either perfect and clinical in his finishing or it's a terrible effort. Runs all day. Can play in midfield or wide and we've utilised his as much if not more in those positions than acutally as a striker. He can look a little exposed having the ball in deeper areas but useful on the break, sometimes his passing is a bit off, or poor first touch but that's why he plays for us and not higher. Always moaning at the ref too, contests nearly everything but i quite like that. Overall, good player for us.

Still so proud of those cup performances. Both our goals that night were top quality, particularly the 1st, superb football. Wonder if Man U have a 4 years ago thread on their forum...?

I thought that was actually aimed at the wider squad tbh and not singling out the defence. He did say the defence lacked the courage to play out from the back until the end of the game and it's an area we are weak in at some point. I'd like to hear the interview again though.

His mobility or lack of, undermines the better player he is or once was. In his defence, we do still continue to almost exclusively launch it long at him. That might be in part due to the aforementioned mobility, he's not going to break the line is he. Still think if when he drops into recieve the ball, it went to his feet and you get people around or beyond him we'd be able to appreciate him more and would play more to his strengths. If Pearson wants that kind of player in the team every week, we need to go out and get a younger or quicker verson.

Another frustrating watch. Huddersfield your average Championship side but yet again we make things difficult for ourselves. We are our own worst enemy at times.

Have debated this for years with various people. Stick a bobble hat and scarf on anything and add some snow, it will look 'Christmassy'. Talented waster ultimately. Never owns the shirt and has had plenty of chances under multiple managers here. He has all the technical and physical attributes to be a top player in this division. There is something not right there in terms of mentality or attitude. I think he falls well short of Pearson's expectation levels. Will he get 1 more chance before Jan? I think not. Not financially easy to move on, loan or perm but he is a flair player and that might appeal to the right side who could afford the luxury.

Indeed. You'd struggle to belive he's not at least 1 dribble, 2 fouls per 90 and he's certainly got the mins.
