  1. Defamation, slander, libel (etc..) are all civil matters except in a very few select circumstances (members of the higher echelons of the Royal Family, certain Crown Officers, blah, blah, blah......), so the Police would not be involved. I think we've been here a few (hundred) times...... But... HG made an allegation of an assault and did this is a very public way so the Police (in the form of JulieH) had an obligation to investigate what could have been a criminal matter. Again, I think we've covered this more than a few times. Can we agree that HG is an irrelevance and stop mention
  2. These is no such thing as 'division 5' it's a term they invented to try to disguise that they were NON-LEAGUE
  3. Some delusional has started yet another thread on CH4Drivel about the new stadium and UWE taking over the Mem for student housing. I lost the will to live but 'Marvin the Mare' is involved too (even though UWE ain't in Bristol). http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/12853/uwe-marvin-bristol-rovers Meanwhile in more plausible news Lord Lucan and Shergar have been found sharing a house in Knowle West.
  4. That whole end only holds about 1200 so there are 400 there tops - plus 5000 in the home end and 2500 in the executive boxes of course.
  5. Jacki got one (and it was a cracker) against Pompey on the opening day in a very few seconds, certainly the first goal in the league that year.
  6. Double stable* doors, four windows that open. I meant 'why did they bother?', my shed on the other hand serves a number of purposes and it built to last. *no horses before the blue duo come looking
  7. My shed is bigger than that.....and better built.....and probably cost more. Seriously, why?
  8. Sunday afternoon wasn't it? I was driving along the M32 going out of town and couldn't believe it. If memory serves the manager at the time was Don Megson and when he asked about whether any cups had been destroyed the fire service said not to worry as the fire hadn't reached the canteen. Later that season the trophy room was burgled and the entire contents were stolen. Police later apprehended two men who were in possession of 20 square yards of blue carpet.
  9. The whole point was that the black guy was as big a racist as the white guy. I read a very interesting newspaper interview with Rudolf Walker a few years ago and he seemed quite jaded with the continual PC comments about the show and having the point out the premise to people who probably didn’t even see it. Mind you it was never very funny. Died a week or so ago, read his obituary only yesterday.
  10. Pretty sure it was 75p in the EE in the promotion season with no reduction for juniors and it went up to £1 when we were promoted.
  11. How far down the pyramid does that go do you think? Relegated this year, administration next triggering a points deduction that makes back-to-back relegations more likely and start 20-21 season as non-league either in their current guise or as a phoenix. Wouldn’t want Bristol Sport to go near them though.
  12. Which explains why Burnley reached Europe in the 1960s when their chairman was a butcher.
