  1. How many played yesterday?
  2. Can't believe the amount of players we have accumulated. We have experienced players not even making the bench,so many on loan and for the future that I can't even remember half of them. Anyone know how many we actually have? Don't really see how we can expect to develop a style of play when we're coaching so many players. We need to make judgments on these players not in starting teams and move them on if there not going to play. It's no wonder we lose money when you look at the amount of players and management staff we have. Personally would scrap the under 23 and just have u 18. If we want to keep them at 19 then send them on loan. It seems like we want to sign everyone just in case they come through when the reality is they don't. Our record for developing players is poor to say the least, how many of yesterday's team were signed from elsewhere?
  3. Watched keynsham town beat top of the table Bradford town 3 1 yesterday. Game had it all ,goals ,tackles, missed penalty and more goal mouth action than I've seen in a long time. Bradford no 10 was excellent and a joy to watch. Fans even having banter with the players during the game. Topped off with chips and admission at reasonable prices made it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Certainly worth giving a watch if you have free time.
  4. Wow what a great honest interview. No excuses, hands up that it wasn’t good enough. Certainly happy to accept his view that it wasn’t lack of effort . Said that they had played poorly not executed plans or played to expected levels. What a difference from making excuses about a soft penalty which it was and accepting responsibility. Also think he has the potential to become an outstanding keeper. Player of season by a mile so far.
  5. Said a while ago about the fallacy of changing formations and coming up with new ones. More convinced than ever now that it gives managers an input to try to effect the game. Unfortunately this does not work . Stick with the formation you want , drill the players, buy players who fit into it and persevere with it. We look at times like we have absolutely no idea what we’re trying to do and it really is no surprise as there probably attempting to remember where there supposed to be on the pitch.
  6. Cannot believe how many different formations we attempt to play. It's no surprise we lack consistency and have square pegs in round holes as lj quoted. It's almost like today's managers have to justify their existence by coming up with new formations. Just pick one drill the players so they know their role and then train and motivate them. Formations don't win matches the quality of your players do. Liverpool and Man City don't mess with formations too much they pretty much play the same way and rely on quality to win. If you haven't got the quality develop it through coaching.
  7. Wouldn't be surprised to see some of ljs rotations today to counter specific hull threats ie Bowen. Be interesting to see if nagy is available as it's been kept quiet about extent of injury. Derby type performance would be splendid.

Exactly what it should be an honest assessment of the match. Cant stand it when it's about learning patterns of play ect. Fans will not have a problem with him being disappointed and facing up to what needs to be done.
  9. No complaints. Hes an outstanding centre half and deserves his chance it's an amazing bit of business to turn that profit in a year. However if we are aiming to get into the premier league which I assume is the plan we need to plan for these eventualities, something we dont always do. We play Leeds sunday without a 22m centre half.
  10. I said I hope we have a plan in place ie signings lined up prices agreed or they will be hiked due to our income
  11. Sincerely hope we have a plan in place for this. Weve sold about 30 million this year and spent a fraction of that amount. Problem is weve lost our best centre half and not addressed our main weakness of scoring goals. I hope we have deals in place for these positions or were going to either pay a lot or make do with what we have which isn't good enough for top 6.
  12. Looks like a certain mr webster wont be getting one today and a mr palmer will. Hopefully they might announce them with a vacancy in the 9 or 10 shirt to be filled soon.
  13. Sorry for trying to post something to relieve the boredom on here at the moment . What a miserable bunch we are. I'm done.
  14. Just been reading in national papers of rumours of villa bidding for Webster, reported 12 million. Firstly villa have taken enough of our players and for 12 million they can go and get stuffed. If Kelly was worth 13 i wouldn't accept anything less than 18 million .
  15. If they haven't arrived already it's only going to be a matter of time. He will of been on the radar already but with the publishing of post season stats ect even more so. Personally wouldn't accept anything less than 15 million . If city have any sense they will be offering him an extension with a hefty pay increase. Fear he will go as he is quality. How much would you accept?
