  1. Anyone have any idea what the application process is for the manager job. I'm intrigued as to what actually happens, is it a formal process ie form , task, interview or is it we fancy you come and have a chat here's the job. Would love it if all candidates had to put on sessions for fans to watch ,then pick a team and manage it for a practice match. Anyone know?
  2. Whoever is fortunate enough to get the manager post is going to have to do some serious sorting of squad in a short space of time. Appreciate its too late for play offs but last few matches will at least give the new boss a brief look at some of the squad. Serious decisions need to be made. Goalkeepers, 3 who have all played first team games. Is max good enough to eventually step up ,if so keep Nikki as number one cash in on Bentley. Only full back who I think is promotion quality is a fit Dasilva.Others not good enough. Williams, Bencovic to go . Kalas stay. Decis
  3. Might well of been something to do with the players if the documentary was even half true.
  4. sky on demand worth a few quid I've watched it several times
  5. Something to watch with no live sport on ,unbelievable achievement which will never happen again. The man was an absolute genius. Football clips are good as is soundtrack. Must of been amazing manager to play for. John Robertson or as clough refers to him the little fat fella, what a player , defenders literally fall at his feet, no pace but just walked past defenders ,crossed with either foot without a thought. Signed Trevor Francis for record fee and had him making tea on the bench.See how many times you see city mentioned. Not football but just started watching Last dance, Michael Jor
  6. Surely with the global fallout from this awful disease there will now be an acceptance that allowing unsustainable salaries will no longer be allowed. How much better would it be if all teams were on a level playing field whenever a new season is started. Forget about diluting the quality let's have a fair league not dictated by the richest clubs.
  7. Surely a sackable offence ,absolutely disgusting. They have the nerve to take their ridiculous money and whinge about pay cuts while putting people's lives at risk. Nurses and Drs have died. Absolute ****.
  8. Can't believe the amount of players we have accumulated. We have experienced players not even making the bench,so many on loan and for the future that I can't even remember half of them. Anyone know how many we actually have? Don't really see how we can expect to develop a style of play when we're coaching so many players. We need to make judgments on these players not in starting teams and move them on if there not going to play. It's no wonder we lose money when you look at the amount of players and management staff we have. Personally would scrap the under 23 and just have
  9. Watched keynsham town beat top of the table Bradford town 3 1 yesterday. Game had it all ,goals ,tackles, missed penalty and more goal mouth action than I've seen in a long time. Bradford no 10 was excellent and a joy to watch. Fans even having banter with the players during the game. Topped off with chips and admission at reasonable prices made it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. Certainly worth giving a watch if you have free time.
  10. Wow what a great honest interview. No excuses, hands up that it wasn’t good enough. Certainly happy to accept his view that it wasn’t lack of effort . Said that they had played poorly not executed plans or played to expected levels. What a difference from making excuses about a soft penalty which it was and accepting responsibility. Also think he has the potential to become an outstanding keeper. Player of season by a mile so far.
  11. Said a while ago about the fallacy of changing formations and coming up with new ones. More convinced than ever now that it gives managers an input to try to effect the game. Unfortunately this does not work . Stick with the formation you want , drill the players, buy players who fit into it and persevere with it. We look at times like we have absolutely no idea what we’re trying to do and it really is no surprise as there probably attempting to remember where there supposed to be on the pitch.
  12. Cannot believe how many different formations we attempt to play. It's no surprise we lack consistency and have square pegs in round holes as lj quoted. It's almost like today's managers have to justify their existence by coming up with new formations. Just pick one drill the players so they know their role and then train and motivate them. Formations don't win matches the quality of your players do. Liverpool and Man City don't mess with formations too much they pretty much play the same way and rely on quality to win. If you haven't got the quality develop it through coachin
  13. Wouldn't be surprised to see some of ljs rotations today to counter specific hull threats ie Bowen. Be interesting to see if nagy is available as it's been kept quiet about extent of injury. Derby type performance would be splendid.
  14. Exactly what it should be an honest assessment of the match. Cant stand it when it's about learning patterns of play ect. Fans will not have a problem with him being disappointed and facing up to what needs to be done.
