  1. The club are clearly still preparing a statement that will cover the premature announcement of refunds. I fully believe the email to be genuine as there is no attempt to fraudulently obtain money on that email and the email address itself is valid. Maybe the key decision makers on explaining the error have not been available today.
  2. Ordinarily I believe the long card number on cards is carried over to new cards when a simple re-issue at expiry date. You should still get a refund in those circumstances.
  3. Nothing wrong in providing the info. It's all good
  4. IMO it is an email that has gone out too soon and the club is now getting it's act together to prepare - earlier that they would wish to - an annoucement
  5. Yeah, ordinarily an email would come looking like it is from a particular sender but when you hover over the email address you would actually see the real email address - some random. This is definitely from the legit company.
  6. A fellow ST holder has just had his refund apparently. Will check and confirm the same. Update: Scratch that - just the email.
  7. Someone will be getting a bollocking
  8. That at least points to a legit offering that someone somewhere has processed too early (considering supporter services know nothing about it)
  9. My concern would be that if this wasn't legit then someone has access to supporter details. There is no link or suspicious attachment though so no immediate concern from the email itself.
  10. I have spoken to the club and they are not aware of any refunds. They are looking into the matter and will put out a statement asap. It looks legit to me and so I wouldn't be surprised if someone has jumped the gun here and not informed the correct people. Mine was also £15.43. No obvious phishing attempt.
  11. Great post. Despite frustrations relating to the signing of a forward this is bang on. How quickly we become used - nay, feel entitled - to £8m pound players.
  12. I can guarantee that the 'narrative' of this season won't be just to enjoy it. Too many rightly or wrongly expect - not my view for what it's worth - a promotion challenge this year and our finishing lower this season would create havoc. To be fair I DO want to see more home performances and wins. Last season - at home - was not often enjoyable. Very strange season. Couple this with a fanbase that is more negative imo than the average and the narrative of this season could be one resembling a bumpy ride. Strap in. I'm with you that there's a lot to be excited about. We do need to find more goals from the team though. Hopefully we work it out, with or without a new addition.
  13. Agree with all of this. Perhaps EN was too high quality then? Presumably there is something of a compromise out there? May be we just blood Semanyo and see what happens but given him proper game time.
  14. Even funnier are the Rangers fans terrified that Kent is coming to City.
  15. Got to laugh. Bobby Reid rumours flying around Twitter now. Brace yourself for all kinds of crazy talk in the next 24 hours. For what it's worth, I'd have him back even if I'd hoped for more.
  16. Not what I said. Just lamenting the fact that we never secure the striker first. We'd all relax then. Of course, this is not obligatory.
  17. Totally concede this point. It's just never the striker that gets announced early in the window. Frustrating that it be the case when it's the number one priority (their words). You are quite right that we can't call it until tomorrow and that even if nothing happens it doesn't mean they weren't working on many deals. It would mean however that we failed. Fingers crossed! Just imagine the banter with Leeds fans if he reverted to us though.
  18. I do think we should sack Eddie off now as if we wait for him to talk to Leeds we'll have less time to follow up on our back-up targets.
  19. It's just always appearing to treat the forward problem as a secondary concern. Why we were even in for a loan and not seeking to secure someone permanently is frustrating. Today's news is just a blow.
  20. To be fair we were poor leading up the end of the season. Granted, we need to see what the new players brought in can do but we'll need goals from midfield with no new signing, a midfield that at present is lacking.
  21. If as it appears we lose out to Leeds at the last minute for Nketiah's signature then we are going to find ourselves in the bizarre position of fans feeling despondent despite the club having shelled out millions. Why we can't address the forward situation is beyond me. The club must be commended for the signings secured but today along with the performance on Saturday has my mood low. Still, I'll be there next game hopeful as ever.
  22. A mate and I both clocked the indecision in our players and then what could be argued to be a deliberate misplaced pass by Pack after we appeared to play on, to give it back to them. Felt like he hit a hopeful one almost designed to play it 50/50. Might be totally wrong.
  23. If the club HADN'T sold Webster for the fee we've secured I'd have been pissed off. Great player but with those we've secured already we are stronger overall; another year together and the lads who almost got us into the Top 6 may well do so this time around. If we've another 1 or 2 lined up before the end of the transfer window things might just end up better than this. Have a bit of optimism lads. All targets will have been lined up, the cards will now hopefully fall into place. I also happen to feel that the acquisitions of Palmer, Szmodics & Rowe are being undervalued by some.
