  1. Kinda ironic given Risdale almost bankrupted Leeds
  2. I’ve seen some on twitter have had issues presumably because they either did split ticketing or booked using the train line With split ticketing obviously you’re taking a risk but with train line people don’t realise they add their own fees and charges (including for delay repay) which booking direct with the operator doesn’t do
  3. If you log into https://tfl.gov.uk/fares/contactless-and-oyster-account and create an account and add your bank card you may be able to manually enter leaving the system at Stratford and get a partial refund. Has worked for me in the past
  4. I saw that the 0745 is recorded as being 119 and a quarter minutes late..
  5. The mythical ‘West Ham Way’ they spouted when Allardyce was in charge. Problem is when they have a more expansive manager they look like going down
  6. A tip from a local, get the dlr from Stratford to pudding mill lane Its the closest station to the away end, a 5-10 minute walk max
  7. Delay repay is 50% back if 60 minutes late and 100% back if 120 minutes late
  8. Things are moving but due to a points failure Bristol trains are having to go into Westbury and change ends which is a little time consuming
  9. Don’t forget to claim delay repay, over 60 minutes late you get 50% back over 120 minutes late you get 100% back
  10. I flagged it on the other thread yesterday although am surprised they seem to have gone for a hope for the best attitude rather than having some sort of plan in place
  11. Flooding is on the diversion route due to be used tomorrow Also I’d never trust what trainline says, they try to sell tickets for trains that don’t exist.
  12. The point being that as things stand there’s no route open tomorrow between Bristol and London unless either the flooding subsides or the engineering work is cancelled
  13. Line between Westbury and Reading is still closed today, with the line between Swindon and Reading due to be closed for engineering work tomorrow some decisions might need to be taken later on today
  14. What’s even more absurd is Sundays game will have VAR but if it goes to a replay there won’t be
  15. I don’t understand the whining about newcastles allocation given it’s the tournament rules, I’m sure if they’d been drawn away they’d be demanding that
  16. Who was born near Oxford
  17. Worth noting Stratford station is managed by London Underground
  18. If there’s engineering works then there should be rail replacement buses operating. Although they are vulnerable to the shortage of bus and coach drivers currently
  19. It appears most of the Lizzy line service serving Stratford start from Paddington that day. Your original plan would still work you’d just need to change at Paddington If you’d like more train information check out realtime trains As for driving, I’ve driven Bristol to that part of east London more times than I care to remember, the quickest route is via the M25, M11 and A13 and can easily take 90 minutes from when you turn onto the M25 and that’s with a clear run
  20. Bus 205 goes from Paddington to Bow Church via most mainline terminus north of the river. From there the DLR is one stop to pudding mill lane which is the closest station to the away end
  21. Genuine question for those who want them to sell up, is there anyone actually out there you’d want to buy us and take us forward? As for what I’d like, just square pegs in square holes, it’s pretty clear that Pearson’s sacking wasn’t for footballing reasons and yet we have a seemingly over promoted chairman and technical director in positions of influence making that less and less likely
  22. Is a brave move as Stoke have got a reputation as a managerial graveyard last few years, but it is closer to home for him
