  1. Good performance but I must say we did the same under Johnson too. We need that extra outlet in these types of performances. You can't keep letting teams have that amount of the ball and hope to survive. I know we beat them lot across the bridge and can relish in it for a couple weeks before Derby but we've had very similar performances to that in the last 3 or 4 years and we didn't have that plan B when things start crumbling - January and beyond. I'm pleased with tonight but i'm not gunna get carried away, a better team with better attacking options instead of longball could h
  2. QPR team had players running up and down and around him all the time and it gave him plenty of chances per game. Our style doesn't suit him whatsoever. We paid an inflated price for a player that profits from a team's system and that doesn't suit our own. Simple as.
  3. Cant just scapegoat Pato when the rest of the midfield and the team weren't up to standard tonight
  4. Does seem to be better away from home where we have less time on the ball and i think he plays better when he doesn't have much time to think and plays on instinct and one or two touch plays. I think when we are the home side and have to break teams down he is found lacking in the midfield role. I swear every goal he has scored for us has been a first or second time finish. Would be interesting to see I think. Does seem to dawdle a fair bit and run into alleys far too often when we have more of the ball but he played well today.
  5. They will probably say everyone they interviewed wanted too much money for the COVID life we live in nowadays. They'll have their excuses I'm sure.
  6. Well either way, we will be playing much more attractive football under Cook than the previous manager.
  7. Another case of a player who will move on and perform superb elsewhere and us a couple months down the line wondering what happened. Yeah he is a bit one dimensional but if that one dimension can create 12 goals and he is still young enough to improve his game then i'm all for it. I'm sure people had reservations over brownhill and reid for example and look how far they've come. If a winger is consistent week in week out he would not be playing for Bristol City.
  8. 40 goals in 3 seasons, great return. He is our best striker and i'd love him to stay but that might have been a farewell goal today. Don't really have affinities with players in the recent squads we have had but Fam is that player who will always put everything in and this season has come on leaps and bounds in improving his overall play.
  9. Although i'm not particularly pleased at the possibility of the Cowley's taking charge I feel that maybe they could be a good fit for us. They will be hungry to move on and improve, Lansdown will give them time - which he is the type of manager to gradually improve over time. They aren't opposed to playing tricky players like Grant, Smith-Rowe, Pritchard etc that could see some of our other players on the fringes get opportunities. I see us in a similar situation to his time at Lincoln - loyal fanbase that travels well, spurts of good football with some mixed bag performances, some good
  10. Quite enjoying this, both teams moving the ball around fairly fast.
  11. CH and Phil Neville are doing a talk on leadership at my housemates work this week. I'll steal the laptop and tell Hughton to get his arse down AG through the livechat. Wish me luck.
  12. Might just be me but found him a little frustrating in possession today. I think the fact we created more free-flowing chances throughout the game got him into positions to set up our goals today. In most games this season he didn't even have the opportunity to get into good attacking positions with the ball as he would run into blind alleys out wide. His press was fairly good and his final ball was spot on for those three goals but i felt he could have been even better. I always feel like he needs someone close to him within the first couple touches to lay it off just so
