  1. Sounds like one of those Addams family chants, can we change the forum name to OFIB? We are so tinpot from the top to the bottom all I do is laugh at us nowadays.
  2. Been seeing a lot of that Taylor this year, reminds me of Baldock but twice as fast. Does miss a fair share of opportunities but makes a lot of them himself with his ridiculous pace and running. If Luton don't stay up they'd be stupid not to keep him around.
  3. Think we could lose 5-6 of the final 8 and he'll still be here. The fragile egos of the hierarchy are much more important to them than the performance of the club they are custodians and employees of. Only way he goes is if we get smashed to bits in a few home games and it gets super toxic but still I can't see them making a change. They are more likely to double down on it. It's "his club", he'll do what he wants. Fair enough if you think he goes before the seasons out but I think he's getting the nest-egg in the summer and we'll regress again. Level of excitement with the quality of football is on par with SOD.
  4. Thought Manning said we lacked belief in our last game, do we always believe?
  5. He's a real manager with a brain, wouldn't touch us with a ten foot barge pole.
  6. All he had to do was build on the foundation he was given. And it has been thrown aside already. We know we are a half decent counter attacking side, our main problem being we don't do well when we have more possession and struggle to break teams down. Here are some statistics of the games when we have had more possession in the league this season; NP - 6 points. Millwall 0-1 Bristol City - we had 56%. Bristol City 0-2 Birmingham - we had 65%. Bristol City 2-3 Stoke City - we had 54%. Rotherham 1-2 Bristol City - we had 58%. Cardiff 2-0 Bristol City - we had 53%. Flem - 3 points. Bristol City 1-0 Sheff Wed - we had 66%. Manning - 2 points. Bristol City 1-2 Norwich City - we had 61%. Huddersfield 1-1 Bristol City - we had 61%. Birmingham 0-0 Bristol City - we had 64%. Bristol City 0-1 Millwall - we had 54%. Preston 2-0 Bristol City - we had 52%. Bristol City 0-1 QPR - we had 59%. Sheff Wed 2-1 Bristol City - we had 53%. Bristol City 0-1 Cardiff - we had 60%. Turns out Nige was a better possession-based manager than Manning after all. Even Fleming too! Obviously it all depends on games in context but I found the statistics to be quite interesting considering LM said he likes his side to dominate the ball. Not very well in this case.
  7. I don't want this Muppet getting the summer. Do you see any of the top 10 playing this style of boring emotionless following-the-perfect-plan football? Maybe Hull/Boro sometimes but they get found out. It's not even possession for possessions sake like Swansea which I don't enjoy but at least there's a point to it and you can understand why they play like that. Our style is pointless. I'd hate to be a player in this team if it was me. Football is meant to be entertaining and unpredictable, not boring and formulaic.
  8. The players didn't follow the perfect plan. Club deserves what it's getting for the decisions they made. They'll never learn.
  9. They were 1-0 up, made a like for like change. Moved Mowatt more deeper for Diangana to get the ball deeper and into the game with the fullbacks getting up higher up the pitch, couple of passes and they score. That's how you make a change and an impact. Don't worry, we got the big boot and hope.
  10. Knight killing the counter, giving it away. Roberts showing the most left footed player on the pitch inside for a free shot. So poor. Just hoof the ball and hope. Time in the air more than time on the grass. Yeah, WBA are a decent side but they're not world beaters. We're only going to score if they make a mistake, sick of this football just sitting there letting them knock it around.
  11. Looks like we're in good hands then. Waffler. Next time someone ask him how many points we've got when we have more of the ball in a game of football.
  12. So Ipswich is the new club we are emulating now? McKenna is levels above Manning. New one every year isn't it.
  13. Actually beat a team when we have more possession than them. Still hasn't happened yet I don't think.
  14. Fortunate Swansea aren't very good and Mr Reliable Rob Dickie could hit the target, without him we'd crumble. He's gunna get given the nest egg in the summer, spunk millions down the drain and we'll still be midtable/bottom half playing pattern based mindnumbing football and struggle to break down teams who don't want the ball. The football under Pearson wasn't expansive but it was hardworking and relentless, it's easier to give young lads opportunities when the football is more simplified. You won't see any youth players coming through now when he's desperate for results. He's not a risk taker. He is calculated and sticks to his 'perfect plan'. See how we do with the loss of the experienced players in the summer. What players will want to come and play football for Manning? The pathway will be killed and one of the my favourite bits is when a youth player gets a chance in the first team, even if they don't make it. I'd rather that then some fluff pass merchants filling the bench up.
  15. We all gunna buy the shirt to commemorate this brilliant display?
  16. Don't know why people are complaining, our players are following the perfect plan.
  17. He's halfway to the record setting streak!
  18. We had that already before the regime change. All we needed was a bit of creativity in the middle and wide areas and we could have been a top half side knocking on the door of the playoffs. It's gone from resilient to soft touch. From determined to switching off. Passion and fight to frustration and togetherness to a divided fanbase. We had everyone pushing in the same direction, the ship was turning. We've scraped another iceberg. Best hope we stay afloat.
  19. It's always different against teams who have the ball more than us. We show our strengths then. You won't see these types of performance against Millwall, Sheff Wed, QPR - just for examples. The majority of games just won't go that way because of the dynamic of the game. We gotta hope more teams want to dominate the ball against us so we can counter otherwise it's going to be a struggle. Dreading looking at the fixture list. Can't think of the last time we beat a team when we had more of the ball.
  20. No clean sheets in the league in 2024. Played well when we played forward and didn't faff about passing it back at every opportunity. Less possession and a better performance attacking wise. It's almost like the whole season in a nutshell. When we actually beat a team who sits in then come talk to me. Not too angry at the result as its their season and they work hard enough for things to fall their way, happened all season for them. To beat teams in form like that you got to do more than enough and we didn't tonight. If you want to look at a team and how to play deep possession ball and how to convert it into long balls and quick attacks down the flanks, that's the team you want to watch. They play the ball backwards and sideways with intent to create space for players who will drive the ball forward. We don't. That's the difference.
  21. 5 of them getting into our box to our 3 defenders for that goal.
  22. Should be two. Stop showing these respect, get after them
