  1. Dorking Wanderers manager/owner win record must be through the roof 10 odd promotions in 20 odd years, get him in. Win percentages not at the level mean jack-all.
  2. HPC is second to none. Box entries. Do sharks care about Mondays?
  3. Messiah Tinnion has said whoever comes in has to play the way we play now, not much will change. He's coming in because he seems like someone who won't hurt anyone's feelings in the hierarchy. And the hierarchy has said they are expecting promotion so if we don't get into the top six this season then we can start pointing fingers higher up for not getting "what they want." Well they've got what they want now. Back to the old cosy club.
  4. There's the inspiring and exciting appointment that was touted at on here then! It was bound to be him, wish him the best of luck but if we don't get playoffs this year my attention turns to JL/BT. If he says anything like box entries or corridor of maximum opportunity I'll have a breakdown.
  5. We haven't got the players for that, been saying since the start we've got a load of runners and bar Naismith/Mehmeti and the departing Scott we've got no guile or creativity to get at teams like that.
  6. You said I didn't read twitter or interviews regarding that quote about an inspiring or exciting appointment, yet you didn't either? Absolute waffle. You've just taken what one person has said on here who's probably heard it from our resident manager Ian on one of the podcasts. How about you read twitter or the interviews if you're so certain it was said and prove it. Not one person from the hierarchy has said that in the slightest. So don't expect an inspiring or exciting appointment either!
  7. The only person who's said inspiring or exciting appointment is our resident manager himself Ian Gay.
  8. Don't think anyone comes in until the international break personally. It's a vigorous process we're going through
  9. I don't even remember Tinnion or anyone saying the words "inspiring" or "exciting" appointment. Where's that come from? I've got nothing against Manning coming in if it is him and i'm pretty sure this is the type of appointment the hierarchy want. Just would prefer something a bit different like a foreign coach to come in.
  10. This is Steve Lansdown's Bristol City, there won't be any informing of the players tomorrow because our main targets probably told us to do one and now we're scrambling around for anyone who would put up with the restrictions they've put in place. All this talk of different managers and it's still probably going to be Manning. I'm super pessimistic after Tinnion, Millen and Holden appointments and can't see any out of the box type coaches coming here.
  11. We have lost the plot now haven't we, without a manager for half a week and we're talking about blueballs and meatspin. Dread to think what this place will look like if this drags on.
  12. Might have been a little aggrieved if it was the other way and if you look at the picture from behind the goal I can understand the frustration from their fans. But in real time it's pretty much a 1 on 1 with the goalie, it's not like the defender is rushing out to block Knight. I guess that's what playing out from your 6 yard line to your defenders can do, invites serious pressure if you don't play the right pass. Inside it's not a red but outside it is.
  13. Two pretty even teams, even with the red card the game could have gone either way. Both teams lacking quality once they get over the half way line, wish we had a bit of purpose about us when we get one v one with defenders or can play someone in behind. The pass is on but rarely ever played. You could have thrown a blanket on their midfield and striker they were defending so narrow in the first half, they knew we wouldn't break them down through the middle without Naismith. Opened up a bit after the red card. Good game from Max after a few dodgy early passes, commanded the box and what a save to keep us in front from that free kick. Some decent performances but a lot of slow predictable possession isn't going to hurt the better sides in this division.
  14. Dickie trying to force the issue with that pass forward for the double post chance, him and Naismith seem to be the only ones willing to take the risk to play that forward pass at times, missing that from our midfield.
  15. Good finish, Conway not mucking about and putting it in a good area, fortunate deflection but well switched on from Dickie to get a touch on it. Just gotta keep moving the ball left to right quickly and spaces will pop up, too many safe passes when in their half.
  16. Weimann and Knight both go hiding when we have possession, happens way too often. Off it they work hard but on it but I never see them showing for the pass, always see them behind markers.
  17. Jason Knight off the ball work is £20m worth but on it he's worth about £200k - he's got enough quality, looks like a rabbit in headlights when he gets it sometimes
  18. safe passes every time, no creativity or drive in that midfield
  19. Thought he was finishing his round of golf
  20. No way on earth we are a top ten budget in this league still. In the past without a doubt but now I don't believe that.
  21. Looks like finishing his round of golf was more important.
  22. Just a feeling but think he's probably spoken to us and seen the constraints and said no thank you. Derby wanted him prior as Warne is on the edge there and he just got the 'clubs backing' the other day. Maybe they asked him if he would be interested but he's been speaking to others like us, Millwall etc. An agent has probably given news to the press that he's spoken to us hence the rush to get that headline first. Think Derby might now be interested again if Eustace has seen what's going on with us and decided against it with Jones seemingly going Millwall and our lot being basketcases. He also has links up there too. He's probably the best available too which is a shame. On to the next yes-man, it seems.
  23. How long till he's had enough and the hierarchy turn on him, going in circles.
  24. Slide down the table with an inexperienced head coach and a threadbare squad for it to turn toxic for the new man and then to invite Colin to save us from relegation and then the cycle repeats itself once again. I'd take Warnock over most of the names banded about right now, at least it'd be funny with him in charge.
  25. It's going to be the same old story of some half decent managers interviewing for the role, seeing all of the restrictions Nige was under being continued and them saying no thanks just like the applicants before Holden got given the job. The manager (sorry, head-coach) will have to answer to BT who answers to JL/SL and we're just gunna take two steps back again.
