Think he is an excellent keeper who was our best player for first half of last season. As everyone knows he lost his way a little. But if he played constantly like he did first half of last season he would be playing in the prem for me. Seems to be a real confidence player and has these dips in form like he did at Brentford. Started this season very well. However so have the defence in front of him. No saves against stoke to make at all and today had a couple of key blocks but so much less than he had to do for much last season when he was making so many saves.
  2. Expect 1st but would begrudgingly take 2nd and not call for DH to be sacked..... jokes aside I think top 10 but pushing for play offs will be the minimum. Appreciate lots of young players but the problem is if you don’t make it and they do well they just go to the prem without you (Bryan, Reid, Webster, Brownhill etc) so to keep the building blocks at some point you have to make it! I’m currently in that blind optimism place I have before every season!
  3. Think that’s exactly it. Had he carried on on his trajectory, ball playing centre half getting England squad aged 24 etc he would be going to Man City rather than Bristol city! Of course his form has dropped and he has had injuries but it’s still a very exciting signing for us. A centre back who cost £20m two years ago and was in England squad looks like he is coming here!! Fingers crossed he recovers that Swansea form.
  4. The bookies seem to have us in a similar place. I think with DH we are unknown which is probably fair. Think one thing for sure, if we finish 17th DH will not be here next summer! Re the other teams I may be in a minority but I really don’t fancy Norwich to do well. Appreciate core of promotion squad etc but got beaten so often second half of the season you do wonder if they will be the same side again as losing like that becomes a habit. Re Brentford for me it depends on who they keep. I do think Stoke a year on under O’Neil could be right up there. I think it’s a very open
  5. They need to delete those threadS as they must just be from jealous opposition fans as we have outplayed them that weekend with our scintillating football that, if anything, is too exciting.... and Callum O’Dowda is the Irish Messi..... We would all be so disappointed if they paid us £10m for both and took them both off our hands and we would in no way pay the train fare ourselves....
  6. I think it was our second goal I initially thought a derby player went to handle it before I realised on the replay it was the keeper! Surprised it was allowed to happen.

  8. Wells has better goals to minutes ratio than any other striker (in the top 20 or so scorers) for the championship this season. Also 29 is hardly ancient, 3 years younger than Grabban as someone else said. If we pull this off for under £5m this is a hell of a signing for me. so expect announcement that Dyche has changed his mind and decided to give wells minutes at Burnley for the rest of the season on sky sports news shortly......

  10. Both to lose please. Swans win worse for us I guess but can’t ever want anything but a Cardiff loss!
  11. To be fair I understand the point but I fear the discriminatory context is something no one else reads into the chant. I don’t think it’s the same as the lukaku situation from years ago, that was very different. I think the chant is an old one that’s been around for donkeys years and essentially is saying Kasey Palmer is so good you would let him.... you know. It’s the same with chants for crowd pleasing talented players, they always get the bigger chants as they are the reason we pay to watch football (maybe not at the moment!). KP is an exciting player who on his day is worth the s
  12. You are right. I apologise to Joshy and his family and anyone who may have been offended by my comments. I’m going on a hair awareness rehabilitation course.
  13. Don’t really like his hair either....
  14. I blame the tannoy in the Dolman
  15. That’s true..... as it needs two syllables for the first name or it doesn’t fit.... no other reason tho!
