  1. Brighton is the perfect place for him to go. Will play, we will get a decent starting fee and Brighton are good at selling on for very high fees which would make us even more money down the line. would be sad to see him go when he could be pivotal in a play off push this coming season but the income could be huge for us
  2. Not questioning his ability, more simply the money we are potentially spending when it has long been stated we wouldn’t be paying out big money for players. the point on Bellingham fair enough but he potentially has a much higher ceiling and sell on value given his age but I get the point you’re making
  3. Pretty surprised by the 3 mill price we are reportedly paying. Most said we will barely spend anything, let alone close to that figure, let alone for a 25 yo utility player. it surely won’t be 2-3 mill? If so, surely a player like chair is attainable for that type of money who may provide more goals to the team
  4. Given JL made a clear comment that our large wages are cleared off the books by season end would tell me that like JD, kalas will be gone. reckon dickie to partner atkinson with obrien as a young understudy/competition along with vyner. Mcrorie and Naismith I think would predominantly be for midfield but versatile for multiple areas
  5. Maybe currie will be the option if Bryan doesn’t sign judging by @Bcfcshags latest comment
  6. Would love cannon at City if we needed a striker. Proper player him. Will easily bang 20 goals in the champ in the right team but there is a lot more to his game than just goals.
  7. Blackburn after cannon too to replace brereton
  8. Benarous as he’s not yet had his full chance to shine due to injuries. If he can put them behind him, he will be a very good player for us

Exactly. Brighton, watford et al have all made good use of it. Not sure why we don’t exploit it

Always wondered why we don’t look Into the Brazilian/Argentinian market like others have done. Seems to be a lot of gems that could be turned into better players and good profit.
  11. Hypothetical question. Luton just got promoted, if they came in with a 30 mill offer for Scott, would we accept and would he take that move? wondering if they come after us now they will have a bit of money to spite us for stealing Naismith from under their noses
  12. Chelsea is the worst place for any youngster to go. Absolute graveyard for top prospects
  13. 600k let’s say compared to 2.5mill is a big difference. I believe his wages were one of the lowest in the squad going by what his mother said so doubt they would struggle with that either
  14. More likely but massengo would cost pittance compared to the michut deal, who btw I regard as a very tidy midfielder, albeit a little lightweight currently. Whoever sign massengo would no doubt make a tidy profit if he came good. Low risk, high reward potential.
  15. Can see Sunderland going for him. They seem to be keen on promising young French players

Would love to have Dolan in a city shirt. Very good young player
  17. Would love it if he brought Kasper with him to be No.1. Some real quality and authority between the sticks
  18. For that many offences, the ban was very lenient. Should have been far longer
  19. If Scott is sold, which sounds like there’s a chance he may stay at least another season, then I see mehmeti going central for his trickery and creativity around the box in attacking midfield which would allow a left side of bryan and pring. Either which way, we will have a lot more tactical flexibility and depth
  20. Hopefully Lansdown will sell up and move on soon as he’s taken the club as far as he can. Won’t have to worry about upsetting his ego. As grateful as I am for Lansdown sand his money, he’s not a football man and has often made poor choices when it comes to Bristol City. I for one am glad we have a man at the helm who knows what he’s doing and isn’t afraid to tell SL what’s what
  21. If so, he has a whole extra season in the prem to achieve it
  22. Although 4 at the back has served us well recently as it suits the players we have I personally feel we will go back to a 3-5-2 next season once we acquire the players we are after. we will likely be getting a dominating ball winning cb in obrien to sit inbetween two ball playing cb’s. pearson also loves our wing backs to get forward and join the attack. Despite what everyone is saying about wilson, I think he is part of the longer term plan to go back to this formation and compete with tanner. Equally if we signed bryan to compete with pring, it also leans towards the argument of wing backs going 100% every game for 45 mins and sharing the load to minimise injury whilst maximising on pitch output. I also believe Pearson like two up top and another reason for my suspected formation change. Shared between wells, Conway, bell and cornick. I feel the two deep lying playmakers/defensive midfielders would be shared between James, Naismith, Williams and Mcrorie with the two Scotsmen able to fill in at cb when needed/preferred. the advanced playmaker to be scott if still around or shared between mehmeti, weimann, Sykes and Benarous on return. overall, we should have a decent squad with numerous utility players to help cover in light of injuries. That’s just with three additions and without spending any money from a potential Scott sale. If we kept Scott then even better
  23. Can we have Webster and Kelly back please also? Along with brownhill, eliasson and Bobby
  24. Scott defo not giving it 100%. Would take him off we’re it not likely his last game for us
