  1. Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

Now Shite and the eleven retards
  2. The total number of players we've had in the Second Division/Championship since WW2.
  3. Aden Flint's height in centimetres.
  4. It's the total IQ of all Gasheads including those locked in the car park.
  5. Bristol Rovers Dustbin Thread

Didn't realise Josef Fritzl was a gashead. Surprised he didn't use this as mitigation for fathering seven children with his daughter......
  6. Flint's goal

Think that Ray Atteveld’s volley from outside the box at Cold Blow Lane in 1992 trumps anything I’ve seen even from Rodgers. Mind you I seem to recollect Rodgers was the leading goal scorer for 3 different clubs at the same time once.
  7. Flint's goal

Paul Cheesley - So good in the air he could have won the Battle of Britain single handedly.
  8. Flint's goal

David Rodgers climbing majestically to head into his own net. Again
  9. Hegeler- this season's first '1' rating

I'm not sure how the comment 'cock got away' enhances this thread in any way whatsoever. I really do not understand why certain posters have to produce such offensive, ill considered and illiterate posts. If, as is clearly the case, the poster has a different point of view than Newquay Read, I believe he should at least try to explain his viewpoint rather than resorting to obscenities. It would appear this person has a rather different perspective on life than most of us given his derogatory comments about Mark Little prior to the Bolton game.
  10. Bristol City F.C.and Ashton Gate as You First Knew Them

    1) August 1970 v West Ham United 2) Chairman: HD 3) Manager: AD (I often wonder how a combination of Lansdown's finances and the ability of Dicks to spot young talent and build a team would succeed. However it seems to me that there are now many parallels with those years of the early '70's in trying to build a young team and with the Chairman refusing to give into pressure from the fans and backing his manager). 4) Div. 2 (Championship) 5) What were the 4 sides of Ashton Gate?: Covered End (terraces) Grandstand (seating) & Enclosure in front (terraces) Open End (terraces) Dolman Stand (seating) 6) Grandstand 7) Just after the Mexico World Cup and parents wanted me to see Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst 8) First memory: The noise. 9) Which City player was idolised in song that day?: Can't remember but Gerry Sharpe scored the winning goal. . 10) Memorable other chant from that day: See 9 above. 11) 'What got me hooked?: Quickly got hooked after a few games and even though I moved away at 14 in 1974 still take a keen interest in the club and my son is now a fervent City supporter. Quite ridiculous in a man in his later 50's but the City result determines my mood for the next couple of days.
  11. Obscurest City Players

    Jon Economou
  12. Tomlin

I don't understand what the basis of any claim by Cardiff would be. There is no 'utmost good faith' requirement to disclose all the facts and it is up to the Blueturds to undertake any due diligence. If the GBH charge was not a positive attraction to Colin signing the alleged perpetrator perhaps Sun Tan will be asking his manager why background checks were not undertaken.
  13. Flashback for the fans video : Paul Cheesley

New on here so please break me in gently! Just wondering if over the years we've suffered more from career ending injuries to outstanding players than other clubs? I realise it's an awfully long time ago but vividly remember the crack around the ground when Gerry Sharpe broke his leg in 1971. I've detested 'Boro' ever since. Five years later Cheesley was also crocked and another star stopped in his tracks. Often thought about an alternative past with both Sharpe and Whitehead putting in crosses for the Cheese to terrorise opposition defences and what might have been. Those two could have changed the whole future of the club and 1980-82 may have been entirely different. Fully realise it's all conjecture but I'd be interested to hear the views of other fans particularly those of similarly ancient vintage to me!
