  1. I reckon you applied for a job at Villa and didn’t get it. You’re way too obsessed.
  2. Nor are you the only one amongst Villa fans. Of course it was a cross. Take it, though...
  3. True, but as I said, we were paying much higher wages than you and most other clubs in our 3 years in the Championship and the difference wasn't there then in terms of us being miles ahead. It attracted players but hardly the reason for last night's difference.
  4. not really - when we were in the Championship we spent a lot more on our squad than you did but the difference wasn't as huge as it is now. Look around the starting 11 yesterday and although money has been invested in it other than Traore (maybe nakamba) big money hasn't been spent on that 11.
  5. The gulf has been borne out of one of us (Villa) going back to the Prem after 3 years out. What was evident immediately was how much fitter and athletic players in the top flight were and all teams, even those at the bottom, had players that could hurt you. Last season for us was one of huge catch-up. If you were to come up this season that is the first thing that you'd notice too. Sheff U coped well because their game is based on a high fitness level, but one or two bricks come out of that and they will be found wanting. I think the difference between us both yesterday highlighted how mu
  6. We were laughing at his borderline psychosis with his comments after the 5-0. And then he kept going on and on and on.
  7. Do we? You’re not on our radar in the slightest. Reading through here and there’s still see a lot of anti-Villa venom from some two year hangover. Very bizarre but each to their own. As for the opening post, why would we expect you to crumble? You’re at home - as much as that counts for anything at the moment - with players playing to prove something at the start of a season, and with a very winnable tie in the next round. If anything I think depending on teams actually on the field, I’d have you as slight favourites.
  8. I thin many Prem teams have fielded stronger than usual teams thus far in the Carabao mainly due to the shortened pre-season time. It's a useful run of games to try and get players up to speed.
  9. we'll rest a few as well as play one or two to get them into the shop window. Plus after Grealish and Mings there's no stand-out captain so wouldn't be surprised if one or both start. But Nyland (but prefer Steer) Elmohamady Hause Mings Taylor Lansbury Ramsey Hourihane Traore Davis El Ghazi subs: Steer (Martinez for pens) Konsa Targett Grealish McGinn Jota Watkins
  10. You go to bed dreaming about Aston Villa don't you? the Villa wage bill will be affected by FFP - which you seemingly spend all your time drooling over - so won't be the highest by quite some distance. Also, clubs like Burnley, Southampton, palace and so on will all have higher wage earners. If villa stay up over the next couple of seasons then the wage bill will increase due to the financial benefit of staying in the Prem. But this hard on you have for Aston Villa needs to be let go. The love is unrequited and I think they've moved on from you.
