Millwall at home match thread

I would be happy if Conway got one from open play today. -
Great to see that Alex Scott has scored today. He will just get better and better the more he plays.

Needs another job not football related. Selling double glazing comes to mind.

I wonder what poor club will fall for his unique brand of bullshit next. League 2 or National League or is that it.

Merry Christmas and a Happy and healthy New Year to everyone on here. However much we disagree at times and however different we all are we are bound together by Bristol City. Whether the team are good or bad we are behind them. COYR

He is useless at this level. Terrible signing. -
Senior Reds today, guest Jon Lansdown

He is f'ing useless. He brushes over genuine concerns of supporters and is unable to deal with factual questions like the question over the accounts.- 270 replies

The Office (UK): Ipswich Town edition
Redrascal2 replied to LondonBristolian's topic in Football Chat
It would seem to me that Ashton is managed at Ipswich as opposed to the lack of oversight when he was here .Jon Lansdown was playing with crayons all day and Steve had turned his back on the running of the club. At Ipswich they use Ashton's talents but control it and ensure he follows their plan. -
I cannot understand the logic of assessing a player by how much he costs compared to his ability. Cornick in my view is not good enough to be a Championship player and crucially seldom scores goals. The fact he only cost 300k means we haven't wasted a lot of money but does not change the fact he is not good enough.

O'Leary is first name on the team sheet because there is no competition. And I am sure my memory fails me but when was the last time he was left out.
-
I would have said his long throw was the only thing he offers. Nothing else he does is up to the standard needed in the Championship. Hopefully we will sign some strikers in the future and we can off load him.
-
Not surprised at all. The support and atmosphere generated at away games is great and far more enjoyable than home games.
-
Agreed. If we only had a striker who could put away the chances we are creating then things would look a lot different. One only hopes Nahki is back soon and bang in form. Because our current fit strikers are not fit for purpose at the moment.
-
It always has been Lansdown, so many bad decisions time and time again. In terms of Managers not just the selection but backing the wrong ones with money and starving the right ones of it. Allowing Ashton to spend his time planning his move to Ipswich and who he was going to take whilst being our CEO. Just look how well he has done at Ipswich with owners with drive and ambition and proper oversight of his performance. All the while Jon his direct line manager was playing with his crayons. The only person our anger should be aimed at is Lansdown. The trouble is he doesn't give a sh1t.

How can you win games when virtually no one in the team can put away the chances you create. If we had a decent striker it would be a different situation altogether. -

Thank goodness the chance went to Sykes and not Conway. -
Unlike you Manning has my backing just as a new signing gets my backing as soon as he pulls on a red shirt to represent us. I don't wait for new players to prove their worth before I support them and the same with a new Manager.
-
I watched Manning's Oxford team earlier in the season and they were definitely not powderpuff. They won at Stevenage and you know you have been in a game if you beat them at their ground.
-
Or maybe they are playing badly.
-
Good post. But my concern is we have the quantity of forward players but seem to lack the quality.

And he doesn't seem to know what to do when he gets in good positions.
