If they get promoted, do people think he’ll of regretted the decision to move in Jan ?

Twine is worth every penny anything 4mil or under sign.
Thank god you aren’t holding the purse strings.
We’d never get him for the 750k gamble I think he’s worth. A further season loan (which is probably unlikely) or we move on.

To make up for the past few seasons.
To make up for the past few seasons where we’ve managed an FFP tightrope.

In the remaining games, I’d like to see us set out to win the games and make it obvious we are trying to do so. Some real attacking intent and entertainment.
There is very little pressure, therefore players should feel comfortable expressing themselves and gambling a little. If they can’t be encouraged / coached to open up now - they never will be.

Is that the Lez geezer who has multiple accounts on here?

Behave yourself. And that goes for everyone else saying Ipswich are "lucky".
McKenna has taken charge of 125 games now for Ipswich, winning 73, drawing 33, and losing just 19.
19 defeats in 125 games.
That is absolutely absurd. And to top it off they play some of the most exciting football in the division.
They have a bunch of average/good players for this level and are greater than the sum of their parts - that's called great coaching and management.
If they go up automatically then it's a quite magnificent achievement to do a double promotion against parachute payments clubs in this era.
I understand the Ashton issue but for the good of football I'd rather have them promoted than any of the clubs relegated last season.
Absolutely! If you are in the top 3 at this stage it’s deserved, especially as McKenna has managed them out of a little wobble. The times I’ve seen them play on the box, it’s an entertaining fixture. Good on them.

Meanwhile, we (Paulton Rovers) are going down with a whimper. Lost 3-0 at Yate today. Exmouth have picked up big time and Westbury have a couple of games in hand. Tooze who was Paulton manager until recently is now playing for Westbury. You couldn't make it up...
Didn’t realise Westbury and Exmouth were in the southern league. How long have they been up there? They didn’t go up through the western league did they?

Decent away win. Good Easter that.

Odd call there?
That’s my view. I’d understand it with 5 mins or so left to try and shore us up defensively.
Of course, I’ll take it all back when Cornick gets the clincher.

Mehmeti scaring them to death. Brings him off.

Mehmeti is enjoyable when he is “on it”. A real threat when he’s direct.

How in the name of Keith Stroud is that not a penalty on Sykes?
Soft that is. We’d be fuming.

Did we deserve to win? With Leicesters numerous clear cut chances that they missed?
We do have consistency. We can consistenly put in decent performances against the better teams but then also consistently put in poor performances against the not so good teams.
I think we earned the win, yes. Don’t get me wrong my view on Manning hasn’t changed, however it was far better than what we’ve been used to for quite sometime (appreciate that’s not difficult!).

Much better first half showing from us. Shackles appear to of been released somewhat and we appear to be higher up the pitch. Who would have thought actually taking the game to the opposition rather than setting up to nullify them would work!! Its amazing what the Sky cameras bring.

Is there a link for the catch up version?

Is it after the defeats at Ashton Gate that the players are then smiling having photos with those in the crowd? I find that bizarre if so.

This certainly seems like a dig.
“I am now at a club that still has a chance of promotion and where we will hopefully make the playoffs.”
I get that his contract was expiring and that starting him in games would have triggered an extension. But the reality is neither party would have been keen to extend his stay here.
So what strong leadership should do is sit down with him and say "both parties would like to go their separate ways in the summer, you want to return closer to your family and we would like to go in a different difection however right now we consider you a really important player on and off the pitch so how about we make a mutual agreement to scrap that clause? We get the benefit of being able to start you whilst you get the benefit of being able to attract interest from a club that can offer you a longer contract, win win"
I usually agree with your posts @W-S-M Seagull but on this occasion not, as I don’t think that’s a dig - it’s the truth. We didn’t have a realistic chance of competing for the play offs at the point of his departure - in all honesty, that chance faded when Pearson was booted.
