  1. Jack Bailey

    O'Leary

For some reason some think we need to default to 'experience' when things get crunchy. Why? it's the younger ones that usually step up to the mark. If ever there was an occasion for young hungry, agile and technically strong keepers between the sticks its the play-offs - Max O'Leary. Have faith in the incredible talent we have under our very noses
  2. RedM stop biting mate. That poster is not a guest on our forum. He/she has every right to post comments and opinions. Who really cares? Banter back FFS!
  3. Do you read anything other than this forum? Knee injury sustained in the Ipswich game, which prevented him playing for ROI. We need him back ASAP
  4. This will be one hell of a match. Both really need the win. I would start with the team that finished yesterday
  5. Loved his pace, trickery and positivity when he came on. Thought he changed the game
  6. I fear that also but Bobbi and Joe also refused to sign last season and played. There must be more to this and we will never know what the hell is going on. I don't give a toss, sort it out and get all hands to the pump for these vital games
  7. It was the way LJ replied that was a little odd, like he didn’t want to talk about it. Reminded me how he publicly dug him out after his Messi-esque goal at Norwich. We need O’Dowda and Weinmann back ASAP for remaining games and possibly the play-offs.
  8. Weinmann has been seen by many on crutches and in a boot. Also Gregor McGregory Face is seldom wrong
  9. Me too. Rumour control has him out for rest of season
  10. The beautiful game (of opinions)
  11. IMO O'Dowda is the most exciting and technically gifted player we have had for many years. That goal against Norwich is worth 8 million alone. His inconsistency is very frustrating and I get the impression that he thrives on positivity and confidence. Bielsa will see the raw talent in Callum, he will know how to get the best out of him - something which I don't believe LJ can ever do.
  12. What's going on? Other than what we see on the pitch, none of us know. We all have opinions but that's all they are. My stab in the dark starts with a squad that is both tired and not quite good enough to stay the season. Dips in form tend to happen during March and April, ours has come a little earlier. Josh and Marlon have been brilliant for us this season. They have also played every match and almost every minute. That takes it toll. There has not been the strength and depth in the squad to rotate in the middle. Has LJ ever even tried to replace either of them, other that in the odd cup match?. Conversely LJs rotation in wide positions has been ridiculous. I rate Famara but for every decent game, he is completely isolated for 5 more. I believe he is our best striker but must have someone playing with/off him. January window gone was an ideal opportunity to bring in that support. When things are going well LJ is able to sprinkle his happy dust, when things dip, he strikes me as a gaffer that needs to blame his players. The final smell of coffee for me is that we are plain and simple middle to low tier in respects of players wages. Whether we like it or not, I just don't see us bringing in the top notch players that will give us lift we need. If we cannot hold on to the likes of Flinty, Joe, Bobbi and Callum what bloody hope do we have?
  13. You forgot scapegoat COD. Even if he doesn't enter the filed of play tonight, it will be his fault Love the ex-skuses pun
  14. Chip on his shoulder? Going to Villa? So you know Callum really well then? LJ referred to O'Dowda as a brilliant human being a few weeks ago. On a losing run, fans always need a scapegoat - at the moment COD is the chosen one!!. The fella who wont sign a new contract is the easy target. Unlike you, I rate this fella. I know he wont be with us next season but I will back him during this dip in form. He could be a vital player for us over the coming weeks. Eliasson to start tonight - love his attacking threat
