Blackpool away match day thread
Brann-red replied to Jerseybean's topic in The Havanatopia Match Day Archive
Very well put . That last sentence sums up exactly how I felt . They weren’t a threat and was an even game and then we pressed self destruct button . just don’t think anyone played very well today . Fans kept singing today despite the performance . Long journey back on a very sweary and annoyed coach … -
It was the darts tune that they play repeatedly on sky sports when darts is on - it’s called ‘chase the sun’ .. at the end rather than the ‘oi oi oi ..’ then it was Chris Martin instead ..
-
Is it me or had I not heard the Chris Martin chant before Saturday either ? I’ve not missed a game in ages but that one was new on me! whilst on the subject also I do think kalas deserves something as a tune to be serenaded with !

approx 900 millwall followers heading to the Gate

Did something happen today with them ? I’d not heard / read anything . Definite bigger police presence today. Also they were in the south stand by the corner which baffled me -

Love to know his thoughts on a couple of decisions. The handball in the 2nd half which could have been a penalty then semenyo with their defender who seemed to handle the ball and foul semenyo at the same time but gave to them . Hopefully they’re in the highlights so I can see better . -

QPR are nicely depleted tonight . If they had a full squad it’s be a tough night . Suddenly with this different looking team and the opposition looking weaker then who knows … im going 3-1 -
It’s a no from me for all the reasons above. Don’t think I’ve missed a game in a few years now but I had just assumed it would be a lower price for what is a fairly unattractive game. How much does the other team need to agree the price ? IIRC when we played Shrewsbury if was a £10 for adult tickets .

I wanted to get my son some- we went to the Hummel website instead and got the same stuff just not with the logo on. Eventually got two of the trousers for £33 in medium men’s sizes on their sale .. looks exactly the same

I have to say his second half performance was poor . His judgement didn’t seem there , often late to the first ball and mis kicked a few times . Fortunately they were poor down that wing . -
Nice feedback from one Stoke fan at least ! they were very quiet .. thank god, as I can’t stand their fascination with singing Delilah .. it still bugs me after our game at Wembley all those years ago that they sang it ..

After the foul by by Scott . Anyone else notice the Stoke player who was fouled didn’t go off which he should do , shouldn’t he , if he was treated by the physio? He then took the free kick .. -

Agreed. Just renewed . I’d forgotten about it . Thanks to those that run this site. Until it was down I didn’t realise how often I check in to see what’s happening … in the absence of otib , jt meant I had to chat with wife / family which was a novel experience … -

Two positives from today the jackets potatoes sold in the little van besides the stadium. The fact we left after that last goal and got back on the m6 within 10 mins as the Cov stadium stayed full I assume .. ps - thought cov were good and their fans were noisy throughout .. fair play to them. -
Any suggestions on parking from those going ?

Agree , I felt for pring today. Didn’t think he could do much right - still surprised he was on after half time. Hope this doesn’t dent his or tanners confidence

Great game yesterday - one of my fave away games since my last one at Cardiff ..,(!) Can anyone explain what happened at the end with Dan Bentley and the foul on him. ?Couldn’t make it out from where we were and it wasn’t on the highlights . TIA -
Didn’t hear it - had wondered if there was a song for him … similarly shouldn’t we have a song for kalas .?!
-
I think this deserves its own thread for us all to share our stories and experiences of the burger joint … hard to believe it was there at all… surely a plaque to commemorate it is needed !!

That double tackle by tanner in the first half of which the first one was heard around the ground i think .. then the follow up as well would have given him a huge boost . Thought he was decent and those two games will have helped him realise he’s not out of his depth in this division…
